The first design that most people use is called the ridged and spread out design. This design is used for a pathway that have multiple spaces in between the flagstone. This looks great for people that live by a lake and can incorporate this with going down to the lake or boat house.
The next design is very creative and it involves buying multiple colors of flagstone. Place a different piece of flagstone next to each other but make sure that they are not the same color. As a a result, you will have a patio that looks like nothing of its kind. It will stand out from the rest of the house and people will surly be amazed.
The last design that can be used when building a patio is the old school design. This design is used when you would like to have the same color throughout the entire path or patio. Simply place all of the flagstone pieces together to make one uniform looking structure. This will make everything come together and it will look amazing.

How to prepare the stones?
Laying the stones
Laying Flagstone - Preparing the SurfaceMark out the area where you want to lay flagstone with spray paint. Dig up the sod and remove all organic debris. Dig down and smooth the dirt at a depth of about 3 inches. Remove tree roots also, if you have to dig under them to cut them, fill in these low spots with dirt or sand. Rake the area level and tamp the soil firmly with a hand tamper or use a power vibrating tamper for larger areas. Fill in and revamp low spots. Install edging, if desired, before you lay the stones
Laying Flagstone - Lay Stones in a Pattern
Start the laying of stones with large stones around the perimeter. If a stone is too high, pick it up and dig out some soil; if it's too low, add some soil or sand beneath it. Test each stone to make sure it does not rock and make sure it is level. Wherever possible, use uncut stones. When you have to cut a stone, lay one stone over the one it will bump up against and trace its outline with chalk or a pencil. Use a masonry saw that you can rent to cut the stone. Be sure to wear eye protection as you cut the stones.
Put dirt or sand in between the joints of the flagstone. Wet the patio surface with a fine spray, cleaning the stones while thoroughly wetting the dirt or sand in the joints to help solidify the joint fill material.

Black Flag BZ-40 40-Watt Outdoor Bug Zapper
Black Flag has killed more insects for more years than any other insecticide brand. In fact, the first black flag product was sold in 1833. Since then, the brand has always stood for extremely effective insect control but the technology behind the brand has continuously evolved.
The cost of both the original unit and also the replacement bulbs is very reasonable, and the unit is very effective. While some insects do accumulate on the inner charged screen after a period of time, they are easily removed by simply gently shaking the unit until they drop out the bottom of the casing. I will be purchasing a second unit to enlarge the area of insect attraction next spring.

The bulb lasted nearly all summer, and then I ordered a replacement on Amazon and was astonished at how easy it was to install compared to past experiences with Flowtron and other models.
