Article Marketing
Article marketing is a type of advertising in which businesses write short articles related to their respective industry. Each article contains a bio box and byline (collectively known as the resource box) that include references and contact information for the author's business. Well-written content articles released for free distribution have the potential of increasing the authoring business' credibility within its market as well as attracting new clients.Article marketing is a good tool for reaching out to a broader audience and letting them know about your expertise on a given topic. Writing articles helps set you up as an expert or authority on the topic. Writing a number of articles in a niche area helps establish you as a specialist in that particular field. Readers will reciprocate by wanting to learn more about you and your company.
Articles don't have to be long. They should be around 500-700 words and structured in a way that's relevant to the reader.
It's important to refrain from selling within your article. Your readers will genuinely regard your article as something of value if you provide good, useful, relevant content. Indirectly, you're selling them on your value, which is more important.

Why Write Articles
People write articles in order:- To inform
- To promote (yourself, your site or your company)
- To profit (from selling the information)
As we've all heard, the two main reasons why people use the Internet are to be entertained or for information. Some people like to make their work available to anyone wishing to publish it with the aim of promoting their presence on the Web or that of their site or company.
If you want to write for profit, it is a good idea to offer samples of what you produce for free, either in the form of quick tips, or an extensive article on your specialised subject. Why? Because Web users expect to find information online for free. However, if you can convince your visitors that you really know what you're talking about, and they know they're unlikely to find the information elsewhere, then they may be prepared to pay.
The following then is a list of reasons why you should write articles if you have an online business to promote:
1. The best reason to write articles is so that you can reach 1000's of people online. You write and submit your articles to top Article directories and websites. These are targeted because these people visit sites who feature your topics of expertise.
2. The second best reason is that promoting your product through articles is normally free. All you do is write and submit your article once a week to ezines and top web sites.
3. This promotion method only requires that you write a short article from 300-800 words, get it edited and send it off. You then send it to as many article directories as you can. That's exposure to over 15,000 potential customers. You can use Instant Article Wizardto help you write many articles veryquickly.
4. Submitting articles is many times more effective than advertising because when you submit many articles, you become known as an expert. Your potential buyers appreciate your free information and will eventually trust you enough to buy from you.
5. You receive global attention when other Web masters feature your articles because they will include a short bio, articles description and key words to help the search engines find you. Your rank in the search engines will start to go way up. All of this means more product sales.
6. The more exposure your articles get, the more you are perceived as an expert, and when potential customers visit your web site, they are more likely to buy not just one product or service, but several.
7. You can recycle your articles over and over to get even more exposure and sales. You can change the slant with another audience, or you can change the title, shorten or lengthen it.You can take a small amount of information out of one article and repackage
8. Your articles could attract authors in your field who need free material for their book.
9. Take advantage of your Online audience. Remember, people go the net to get free information. If you give that freely, they are more apt to become loyal customers.Remember also, that because other Web site owners and ezine publishers don't have time to only write their own articles, they are constantly looking for other articles. You could end up being published in hundreds of them!
Start writing short articles now, and see how great Online exposure brings you what you want and need for your business success. Check out Instant Article Wizard to help you quickly get started in your article writing.
Writing Good Niche Market Articles
"How do I pick a niche market to write about?"" is question most people struggle with. Why people tend to struggle is that they tend to take an objective approach to study the market and then pick a topic based solely on the numbers. There are very few markets where there isn't a significant potential to turn your experience, your information and your research into a hot business. There are many lucrative markets but many people have failed in those markets indicating that it is more than just the opportunity in that market that makes you successful. Your success in your niche market is going to depend heavily on how well you align your strengths, your strengths being your knowledge and your passion together. How you are able to align that with your hot market topic and rolling out your article with patience to build your business is the key to your potential success. There is a lot of work upfront that is necessary to build any business. To think otherwise is being unrealistic.
The key to success then is going back and understanding what you are good at, what your experiences have taught you, what kind of knowledge do you already bring to the table, what kind of people do you know, what type of circles do you travel in, what access to information does your family provide, as well as your friends. Do you have people around you who are a wealth of knowledge but have no interest or ability to bring that to the market? Those are the kind of things you want to look for in order to write a good content article for a Niche Market.
You are trying to understand enough about a market to be able to understand those hidden surface layer demands and opportunities that exist within that market and then you want to pin point answers, and responses, and research to fulfill that. Finding those questions depends on the fact that you at least know a certain amount about that market. To develop deeper markets you need to get into your market to get all the inside knowledge. You need to go into your market and really figure out what all those hot topics are so that you can create the information that is highly valued and come up with an ongoing series of good quality articles.
Before you get too scientific and look for too many objective ways of assessing a market, look within yourself, look at your experiences, and look at the people around you. Also look at your passions, and your interests. This will make your article writing that much easier.

Keyword Results and Competition
When writing articles, it is important to choose the right keywords if your article is to be viewed by many people who search the internet.A keyword is the phrase that we type into Google (or any search engine) when looking for something in particular. If you wanted a better mortgage deal, you might type in 'mortgage rates'. In this case mortgage rates is a keyword. If you wanted to get better at golf, you might type in 'improve my golf swing'. In this case, improve my golf swing is a keyword.
You use keywords all the time - whether you were aware of it or not. Every time you conduct a search - you use keywords.
Although the correct term is keyword - a keyword can actually contain a few words. For example - although 'improve my golf swing' is actually FOUR separate words - it is counted as ONE keyword.
You may have heard of long and short tail keywords. They refer to how many actual words are in a keyword.
For example, lets imagine you go to Google and search for 'cheap hotel accommodation for students in New York.' This is counted as a long tail - as there are 8 actual words that you have typed. This means that the results will be more focused - than if - let's say - you typed in just 'New York Hotels'.
In this second example - New York Hotels is known as a short tail keyword - as there are only 3 actual words. You will get MORE results for short tail keywords - but there will also be MORE competition.
The secret is - to find popular LONG tail keywords - that do not have that much competition. The idea being - it is much better to get SOME traffic from a keyword that may not have quite as many searches - than NO traffic from a keyword that is SO competitive you don't stand a chance of ever getting noticed.
If you want an article to rank well, you want to do your keyword research first. Most importantly, look for a long tail keyword (3 or more words) that has relevancy, reasonable traffic, low competition, and profitability.
When you type a keyword into Google search, the results brought back are based on sites that COULD be relevant to your query. For example:
keyword competition
Google will bring back results that maybe relevant to:
-keyword
-competition
Assessing each word of the phrase you have used.
When choosing keywords, there is a big difference between results and competition. They are two completely different concepts.
A quick way to get some idea of the competition of a keyword is to check the title tags of the pages in the results. Sometimes the keyword with the most results is the most competitive.
Google has a great keyword tool you can use which you can find at Google Keyword Tool.

Let's check out the keyword 'keyword competition'.
Type in the keyword into the 'word or phrase' box and click search.

We see that the keyword has a Global Monthly search of 6,600.
Now click on the keyword itself.

We see that we have 6,610,000 results, which would be your competition. Your chances of succeeding with this keyword are pretty low, if not impossible.
If we look down the list of other keywords, we will see the keyword "google keyword competition", which only has 480 Global Monthly Searches. If you click on this keyword you see the following:

We see that we have 276,000 results, which means your competition is much, much lower by just adding 'google' to the previous keyword. You now at least have a chance to succeed with the keyword 'google keyword competition'.
What the results tell us is that there are many more websites optimized (your competition) for the keyword 'keyword competition' then there is for the long-tail keyword 'google keyword competition'.
What all this means is that when you do a keyword search, do not rely on the Global Search results alone, but primarily on the competition results. This will tell you if you have a chance to compete if your article contains the keyword you have chosen.
Some people often put their keyword in quotes when they do a search. This is not a true method as Google will search for only that complete phrase, as opposed to applying each word in the keyword. What can happen is that parts of the keyword can be scattered through out the article and will be picked up the search engine in reality. Putting the keyword in quotes will not pick up the individual words.

We see that when we put the keyword in quotes, it shows a competition of only 124,000 which we now know is not quite true.
We see then that using quotes shows sites with the words together. So the results bring sites up that are specifically that way.
Not using quotes bring up sites that have the words together and sites that have the words farther seperated. Naturally, as you go deeper and deeper into the results you may just find one word or the other.
Now that you know how to properly choose your key words, you can now use The Best Article Writer Today to help research and write your articles.
Writing An Effective Article
To write an effective article, you first need to choose a subject. Try not to only choose a popular subject in order to get the largest audience. Instead, write on what you know and are passionate about. There is nothing more enticing than an article brimming over with it. Bring value to your readers. Your article needs to deliver information that will allow your reader to visualize the outcome and take action. Find a unique angle, a good hook, and develop a conversation with your reader.Write in a simple language. You want your articles to be full of information and content, but in a language that the average person can understand. Write only on those topics about which you really have something original and unique to offer to the public, and what is most important, you eagerly want to tell people about it. It may be your personal experience, special knowledge of some particular subject that you want to share, or your opinions.
Once you have your topic, research, research, research. Just because you are knowledgeable on the subject does not mean you should stop exploring on it. Your goal as a writer should be to provide new information continuously. Be always on the look out for new things that would be beneficial for your audience. You can use Instant Article Wizard to help you do your research quickly and easy.
Be accurate. Make sure that the details you provide in your articles are accurate and true. It is your responsibility to convey facts to your readers and not to mislead them with unproven statements. If you are not sure about something, make sure that you acknowledge this in your article.
Edit your articles. Publishers are very picky when it comes to the grammatical quality and formatting of articles. One way to make sure that your articles will be accepted is by proofreading and editing your work before finally submitting them. Watch out for typographical errors and incorrect use of punctuations.
Be consistent. Just because you have already written some articles does not mean you should stop writing altogether. Writing articles for online marketing purposes is a continuous process. Keep on writing fresh articles and find ways to make your articles as interesting as your old ones.
To structure an effective article, you should follow the following steps:
1. Create an outline for your article
Your article should include a headline, introduction, body, conclusion and resource box.
Your Headline should be as catchy as possible because your reader will read this first then decide if he or she will continue reading the rest of the article. A highly effective article title will differentiate your articles from your competitors. Articles that get read generate more subscribers, produce more sales than an ad in a magazine or newspaper. You also get the added benefit of a faster response time because you are marketing your articles online.
Your Introduction should introduce the problem you will be discussing in your article or write a short story of your experience with the problem.
You Body should discuss all the solutions to the problem you outlined in the introduction. Break up each point into separate paragraphs and keep them to about 5 lines. You may want to create a sub-heading for each point. This makes it easier to read as most people will scan your article when reading it online.
Your Conclusion should include a brief summary of your article and a call for the reader to take action. Your conclusion should be incomplete but intice the reader to check out your Resource Box to learn more.
Your Resource Box is the place you can include a little about yourself and your business plus provide a link to your web site or newsletter. This provides an opportunity for readers to visit your web site, learn more about your product or services and/or subscribe to your newsletter.
2. Write in style.
Write in an informal style, like you would explain your topic to a friend. Don't worry too much about correcting mistakes or how it sounds. This may interrupt the flow of thoughts you want to write about. You can always correct them later.
3. Check your article.
After writing your article, run it through a spell checker first, then read it through a few times to check for spelling mistakes the spell checker may have missed and to correct the grammar and punctuation. Make sure it flows well by clearly identifying the problem, providing a solution and concluding with an action step or steps.
4. Format your article.
You will need to format your sentence length at 60-65 words per line before submitting it for publication. This will enable people to read it in their email software. If the sentence length is longer than this the article may break up making it impossible to read.
If you consistently write an article every week or 2 weeks and submit it for publication you will soon generate a steady stream of traffic to your web site for years to come. You can use Instant Article Wizard to help you write create fantastic, fresh, and unique articles in a matter of minutes.
