The Nintendo Wii - Possibly The Best Games Console in the World !

Ok so judging from the title of this lens maybe I am a little biased on this issue. I managed to get hold of a Nintendo Wii in early January this year (My wonderful other half Samantha actually found it!). Anyone reading this in the UK will know how hard it has been to get one. I have been playing it since and I have to say that I am very impressed so far.

Before you think I'm just saying that I need to give you some background. I have had games consoles ever since the original Nintendo NES. I have owned consoles from every manufacturer at some time or another and I have to say that the Wii is the most groundbreaking and most fun I have had on a console in years.

The control system is so easy to learn and use it is a fun and accessable console for all ages. Everyone from my 7 year old cousin, my Dad and even my Grandmother has played and managed to have fun and achieve something on this console. It truely is the first "family" console.

I have spent a lot of time on the Playstation 2 and the XBOX 360. They are both great and have good graphics, great sound and some very good games. However the games are often not aimed at the family and good multiplayer games that do not involve the internet and general blood-soaked carnage are few and far between.

My favourite console of all time is the Nintendo 64. Can the Wii ever hold that spot in my affections ? Only time will tell on that one, I'll let you all know when Mario Galaxy is released.
