***********************************
The term hairstyle generally refers to the cutting or styling of head hair. Hair is generally adorned as a form of the expression of personality, religious practice, or rank in society. Most hairstyles conform to socio-cultural influences and are gender biased.
Fashion trends have the greatest influence on hair styling today.
What hair styles are the Stars wearing?
They seem to set the trends.
Blue Jeans
Not just western wear anymore
Pants made from denim. Originally intended for work. In 1950, they became popular among teenagers.Jeans can be worn very loose in a manner that completely conceals the shape of the wearer's lower body, or they can be snugly fitting and accentuate the body.
Historically in the decades before they became a staple of fashion, jeans generally fit quite loosely, much like a pair of bib overalls without the bib. Indeed, until 1960, Levi Strauss denominated its flagship product "waist overalls" rather than "jeans".
Today jeans are a very popular form of casual dress around the world and come in many styles and colors, with the "blue jeans" particularly identified with the American culture, especially the American Old West.
What is Fashion?
Fashion is a term that usually applies to a prevailing mode of expression, but quite often applies to a personal mode of expression that may or may not apply to all. Inherent in the term is the idea that the mode will change more quickly than the culture as a whole. The terms "fashionable" and "unfashionable" are employed to describe whether someone or something fits in with the current popular mode of expression. The term "fashion" is frequently used in a positive sense, as a synonym for glamour and style. In this sense, fashions are a sort of communal art, through which a culture examines its notions of beauty and goodness.
The term "fashion" is also sometimes used in a negative sense, as a synonym for fads, trends, and materialism. Fashion capital cities are actually Milan, Paris, New York, but other cities like Rome, Tokyo and London are becoming very famous.
The History of Cosmetics
The first archaeological evidence of cosmetics usage is found in Ancient Egypt around 4000 BC. The Ancient Greeks and Romans also used cosmetics. The Romans and Ancient Egyptians used cosmetics containing poisonous mercury and often lead. The land of Palestine was influenced by cosmetics as recorded in the Old Testament-2 Kings 9:30 where Jezebel painted her eyes-approximately 840 BC. The Biblical book of Esther describes various beauty treatments as well.In the western world, the advent of cosmetics was in the middle ages, although typically restricted to use within the upper classes.
Cosmetic use was frowned upon at some points in history. For example, in the 1800s, make-up was used primarily by prostitutes, and Queen Victoria publicly declared makeup improper, vulgar, and acceptable only for use by actors Adolf Hitler told women that face painting was for clowns and not for the women of the Master Race.
By the middle of the 20th century, cosmetics were in widespread use in nearly all societies around the world.
Cosmetics have been in use for thousands of years. They also attached silk or leather with adhesive to cover a blemish. The absence of regulation of the manufacture and use of cosmetics has led to negative side effects, deformities, blindness, and even death through the ages. Examples of this were the prevalent use of ceruse, or white lead, to cover the face during the Renaissance, and blindness caused by the mascara Lash Lure during the early 1900s.
Information from Wikipedia
Why High Heels
Reasons for wearing high heels, which are almost exclusively aesthetic, include:
. they change the angle of the foot with respect to the lower leg, which accentuates the appearance of calves
. they change the wearer's posture, requiring a more upright carriage and altering the gait in what is often considered a seductive fashion.
. they make the wearer appear taller
. they cause the wearer's legs to look longer
. they make the foot appear smaller
. they make the wearer's glutial muscles more defined while wearing tight pants
Reasons for not wearing high heels include:
. they can cause foot pain
. they can create foot deformities, including
hammertoes and bunions
. they can cause an unsteady gait
. they can shorten the wearer's stride
. they can render the wearer unable to run
. The altered forces at the knee caused by walking in high heels, may predispose to degenerative changes in the knee joint.
Are Hat coming back in Style?
Hats may be worn for protection against the elements, for religious reasons, for safety, or as a fashion accessory. In the past, hats were an indicator of social status. There are hats for men and hats for women, as well as hats worn by both sexes. Purveyors of men's hats are called hatters and purveyors of ladies' hats are called milliners.

About Jewelry
The word jewelery is derived from the word jewel, which was anglicised from the Old French "jouel" around the 13th century. Further tracing leads back to the Latin word "jocale", meaning plaything. Jewelery is one of the oldest forms of body adornment; recently found 100,000 year-old beads made from Nassarius shells are thought to be the oldest known jewellery.
Although during earlier times jewellery was created for practical uses such as wealth storage and pinning clothes together, in recent times it has been used almost exclusively for decoration. The first pieces of jewellery were made from natural materials, such as bone, animal teeth, shell, wood, and carved stone. Jewellery was often made for people of high importance to show their status and, in many cases, they were buried with it.

So You Want To Be A Star
So, You Want To Be A StarMany people have something to say, but they may not have a venue with which to get their message out.
They may be budding, or accomplished speakers, or perhaps they are amateurs with the will to communicate a message that they feel strongly about.
Do you feel passionate about something that has the potential to help your part of the world, or even the whole wide world, if only you could let people know?
Let's face it. In many parts of the USA and other countries of the world, radio and television reception is still limited if not completely non-existent. Yet the internet reaches places that conventional radio and TV are inaccessible.
Do you have a passion to get your message heard in a way that will do the most good? Then perhaps you should be a podcaster.
A "podcaster" is a person with a message, who creates a program which can be posted to a website as a "click and play" audio file. Then anyone in the world who has access to the internet may either click-and-listen to the program, or they may download the program to their iPod, computer, or other mp3 format player.
Sounds easy enough, right?
