I hope life is treating you kinder these days. As we get older we often realize that life is short, and we need to grab each day and make the best use of it. It's no use just letting life pass you by, because soon you will find your opportunities to live your dreams have also passed by.

In 2 weeks it will be our 1st wedding anniversary, and for the last 6 months of last year Debbie was sick, but we didn't know what was wrong, until she had an MRI and they found a large brain tumor. As serious as that was, she has come through surgery very well and although still recovering, is getting back to being the woman I fell in love with, and we both feel so lucky that it wasn't something that she would never recover from. Love this lens, it's written straight from the heart, and a well deserved blessing is headed your way.

Hi Patricia! Thanks for sharing your wonderful, heartfelt sentiments. What I notice in your lenses is what I would call passion... maybe you're already living your passion, and simply haven't recognized it because you have an expectation that you "should" feel different, or do something different... just something to consider. Notice how many people have read and enjoyed this lens...
  • OhMe Apr 24, 2009 @ 6:36 am | delete

Great lens - you've been blessed by a squidoo angel :) (and how's that journey a few months later?)
  • Ramkitten Apr 8, 2009 @ 1:35 pm | delete
I can really relate to this. While 40 is "just a number," this recent birthday really made me stop and think about finding what I love to do with my life, and I made a promise to myself to do those things as much as possible from there on out. I've definitely been making a conscious effort lately to do things that I feel passionately about--like more hiking, for one!

One of my favorite quotes is..."write your troubles in the sand and your memories in marble" Simple reminder that our troubles will pass but our memories can last forever. I am glad that you were able to realize all you have to be grateful for. Praying for a Blessed year, good health and most importantly happiness for you and your family.

A worthy pursuit... is finding your passions... for I believe that discovery fuels the fire that lights the way to happiness and productivity! You have the gifts of an eloquent word smith. Many can make a rhyme that begets a smile or a grin, but it's more rare to find the beautiful articulation of words... penned into your poem, "Jewels of Awe"! They awaken us to the magic of possibilities... and suggest as realities the dreams we burn with desire to relive... to feel... and to do! Jewels indeed! Take these gifts... and fly! May your 2009 be fresh and beautiful! Fanned, Faved and of course 5*****s

A worthy pursuit... is finding your passions...for I believe they truly fuel the fire that lights the way to happiness and accomplishment! You have the gift with your poetic expression to go far... many can make a rhyme that brings a smile... , but the gift of making words express passion & feeling, like your "Jewels of Awe", is what awakens the magic of possibilities, from deep within, and suggests the reality of those things that we have a burning desire to feel...to imagine...and to do! That's a marvelous gift!... Take it... and fly! May your 2009 be fresh and beautiful! 5* fanned and favored!

Another great lens by you!! So far, I've enjoyed every one of your lenses I've read!

I use EFT too, but often forget to use it when I should. I'll make that one of my intentions for 2009 - to REMEMBER to use EFT when I need it!

Another one of my intentions for 2009 is to actually sit down and write my book about women's spiritual pregnancy experiences. My friend and I have been working on this project and collecting stories since 2004, so I think this summer it will be time to take it to it's next level...

    Thanks for this awesome lens!

Great lens! I have faith you will rekindle your passion and shine in 2009! 2008 was a tough year for many, myself included, with the death of my mother and aunt and just many other challenges. I hear that from many I know and this lens is inspiring. Continue to count your blessings, love life and value what's important. Live passionately and thanks for a great read!

This may sound a little weird...but do you think you're holding yourself back from a passionate life so as not to endanger your husband's life? (Overtax his heart?) Just a thought. Love this lens.

So sorry you lost your house and bathtub!!! But I'm happy your husband came through his medical crisis okay. What a year 2008 was for you! I love this lens... glad I came for a visit.

Great lens. As they say knowing and admitting that you have a problem, is winning half the battle already. Most people go about their lives not looking at themselves and get angry and bitter at everyone around them. I am sure that things will get better for you in 2009. You definitely seem to have the right attitude for someone who has gone through so much in the course of a year. Hang in there, the roller coaster is on its way up.
  • spirituality Jan 8, 2009 @ 6:20 am | delete
I'm not one to make a new years resolution. I do however relate to this one. I hope you'll keep an open mind about this passion thing - it might just be about finding the ability to relax while reading a book :)
  • Jessica_Burde Jan 7, 2009 @ 2:35 pm | delete
I've never been much for making 'New Year's Intentions' in the traditional sense, I tend to just commit myself to a new goal when the time is right for it. This year, I realized that I had no idea what I want out of my life just as the New Year rolled in. So I guess my intention this year is to figure out what I want to do with my life. Up to this point, I'm able to look back on my life and have no regrets. I don't want to look back in 20 or 30 or 40 years and regret that I didn't make something of my life.

Thanks for a thought provoking lens!

It's easy to lose your balance or focus in life when things get shaken up the way they have in your life in the past year. I think it's a great idea to putting in writing your ideas for getting back on the right track . Best of luck to you and your family in 2009, we'll be here to do what we can :)

Great inspiring lens most people take hardships and turn inward but you have made yours to be a learning tool and keep moving on. I feel that your year is coming because of such a positive outlook you have. May your blessings be over flowing in 2009.
