About Interesting Places to Visit Lens

I have so many ideas about traveling, and I guess one lens is not enough to share all I want to share.
So, I decided to make one "Catalog Lens", and add here other lenses about different places to explore.
If you have any ideas of suggestions to improve this scheme, please, speak your mind here!

Sincerely Yours,
Valery

thanks for adding my lens about driving through a giant redwood. This is a cool idea, and I think this lens is going to do very well as you add more stuff over time. My favorite part of this lens was seeing the picture of the world island - I had no idea it existed! You could do an entire lens on that, I bet. Wow ... man made islands just boggles my mind.

Welcome to The Most Amazing Islands in the World

The Most Amazing Islands in the World

Your exciting places to visit

One in every ten people in the world lives on an island! There is even a word for a "craze or a strong attraction to islands" - islomania! Here are listed the most amazing, most wonderful, most unusual, most beautiful, most attractive and the scariest islands in the world! Whether you have islomania or not - you will find this list really amazing!

Welcome to the world of islands!

I've picked 3 islands that I like best of all , but you can find the complete list here: The most amazing islands in the world

1. The World - The Most Amazing Man-Made Islands

The World is a man-made archipelago of 300 islands constructed in the shape of a world map and located 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) off the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The World is one of several artificial island projects being constructed in Dubai, others being the Palm Islands.

2. Cyprus - The Most Romantic Island

This island was once a center for the cult of Aphrodite, the place where the Greek goddess was supposedly born from the waves. Even today, locals say eternal youth will grace those who swim three times around a rock that protrudes from the sea. For all its Greek reminders, however, many call the cruise port of Limassol the "Paris of the Mediterranean" because of its European air, sidewalk cafes, and stylish atmosphere.

3. Easter Island - The Most Mysterious Island

It is one of the most isolated islands in the world but 1200 years ago a double-hulled canoe filled with seafarers from a distant culture landed upon its shores. One of the world's most famous yet least visited archaeological sites, Easter Island is a small, hilly, now treeless island of volcanic origin. Over the centuries that followed a remarkable society developed in isolation on the island. For reasons still unknown they began carving giant statues out of volcanic rock. These monuments, known, as "moai" are some of the most incredible ancient relics ever discovered. Science has learned much about the enigma of Easter Island and has put to rest some of the more bizarre theories, but questions and controversies remain.

My "problem" is ... I want to do it all! And I love seeing places on foot, so I'm always looking for good hikes and scenic walks. Every time I check one thing off my list, it grows ten-fold as I add more. I really like this lens and am finding other good ones to visit on your plexos. Oh, and this looks like a nice addition for a plexo on my own lens, Squidoo Lenses That Don't Sell A Thing for the Adventurous Lenses category. The first!
