Watch And Learn

Ever wanted to see wolves in their natural habitat? Some place where you could go, and see them up close? I know just the place. It's called The International Wolf Center, and it's right here in Minnesota. Ely to be exact. Ely is in the northern part of Minnesota. It's near Virginia and Hibbing. We're talking about a 2-3 hour drive from the Twin Cities Metro Area.

My husband and I visited there once when we were dating. As soon as we figure our son, Benjamin, is old enough, we're going to make another trip there.

Why Would You Want To Visit?

The biggest reason I can think of for someone to visit this place is because it's very interesting. Both adults and children can enjoy themselves and learn at the same time.

There's also a good chance that you'd get an "up close and personal" look at a wolf that you wouldn't see otherwise. They are behind a wall of thick glass windows, and I swear they know they're being watched, because they will pass right by the windows. You almost think you can touch them. It's a great experience!

I am from Kabetogama Lake in Minnesota. I will have to go visit our wolf brothers at the center someday, as I haven't yet. Ely is such a beautiful area with lots to explore and see. Its a wonderful place to have the center. Thank you so much for creating this very interesting lens, I have really enjoyed it. Really love wolves, and grew up with them in the wilderness. Gentle animals!

The only time I don't sleep well is on a full moon. Have always thought this must mean I have wolf blood in me and should be baying at the moon. Keep up the great work.
