International Money, International Power

Ranked #47,085 in Business & Work, #575,438 overall

The dollar is no ordinary currency--it is the keystone of the global financial system. Its role as the main reserve asset of the international system differentiates it from all other historical currencies except Sterling during British hegemony.

What does this mean for the US and the world? What are the threats to the special status of the dollar? Over the past several years I've been exploring these issues in depth and have continued to blog about the latest developments. Below you will find links to my blogs as well as those posts that are most relevant to international currency.

That's a really good question that won't really be answered by the Democrats right away. I have a post I just put up here: http://le-enfant-terrible.blogspot.com/2006/11/2006-midterms-economic-fallout.html

How do you think the 2006 mid term election results will affect our economy and the global impact? Do you think a Democratic control of Congress will help or hurt us economically? just curious.
