Have you heard of Kevin? How about Duarte? This is not your original American Blue's Clues....

Around the world with Blue!

Blue's Clues has become a worldwide phenomenon. Check out some of Blue's sites from around the planet!
- Blue's Clues UK
- If you haven't met Kevin, here's your chance! Printables, e-cards, and tons of other activities from the UK version of the show.
- NickSplat.com -- NickAsia!
- The Blue's Clues link at NickSplat.com, Nick's Asian website! Includes games, printables, and even a viewing schedule depending on which Asian country you're in!
- Blue's Clues Australia
- About the most generic and not-too-exciting BC site I've seen. They mention Steve and Joe, but you don't see them.
- Blau und Schlau (Germany)
- Steve und seine blaue Hündin Blue like to play a little game they call "Blau und Schlau" (literally: Blue and Smartly). OK, doesn't make too much sense, but hey, it rhymes and it sounds cute. In Germany, it's the American version (Steve only) dubbed into German.
Click link below to watch a short clip of Blau und Schlau! - Clip of Blau und Schlau
- Scroll down, and choose Quicktime or Windows Media to view.
- Le Jeu de Bleue (France)
- If you know any French at all, this review is fun to read! Includes words to some of the songs in French!
- Blue's Clues USA
- Everything you could want, Blue's Clues-style! Games, Books, e-Cards, Parents' section, and more. Gorgeous graphics and lots of fun.
In the UK, it's Kevin!
Blue's Clues Airs in England Too! is a fun site that compares and contrasts the US and UK versions of the show. For instance, instead of mail time, "Postbox" brings the "post", and Kevin sings:
The post is here,
The post is here
Letters come from far and near
All year round they make me want to cheer!
Kevin reading the classic BC story Goodnight Bird!
Audio and picture book!

United Kingdom host (or "presenter," as the Brits say), Kevin Duala, reading the classic Goodnight Bird.

Portugal's answer to "Steve"!
Odd Couple: Blue and... Hello Kitty??
In what I consider a really odd pairing, Sanrio has announced it will begin to produce merchandise featuring our girl Blue with its very own Hello Kitty. I just don't see those two doing the buddy boogie. The merchandise will target young Japanese women, and may eventually be sold elsewhere in Asia and perhaps the United States.
Read the article from the Taipei Times. Traci Paige Johnson is quoted as saying that Hello Kitty was a "tremendous influence" in creating Blue. Huh?
And another from Variety Asia.

February 2006: China has banned Blue's Clues from airing in primetime, because it mixes live action and animation! Read entire article here. Classic Blue's Clues

Blue Squidoo, We Can Too!
My companion lens, dedicated to the U.S. version of our (kids') favorite show! Lots and lots of fun stuff, from humor: (unsuccessful early concepts for the show), to printables and games, and sites for the U.S. hosts, Steve and Joe!

Do you know this man's name? He is the "Korean Steve," and I want to know more about him!
The Elusive "Korean Steve"
[NOTE: Thanks to the reader below who provided the Korean Steve's name: HyunSup Shin, and he's a well-known comedian in Korea!]
OK, so now we know that there's a Korean version of Blue's Clues! This Nick Jr. documentary mentions it, and shows about three seconds of the "Korean Steve"-- but I haven't been able to find one other thing about him! If anybody has any links to this elusive Asian BC host, please e-mail me!
If you missed this on its one showing on Nickelodeon, you can catch the entire 12-minute video here! It's cool stuff-- how Blue was originally to be a cat named Mr. Orange, how Traci Paige Johnson became the voice of Blue, current interview with Steve, and Joe's initial screen test-- you'll love it!
And the Mysterious Ja'quavian!
And now I've found mention of one Ja'quavian M. Spencer! According to Wikipedia and Answers.com, "Ja'quavian is the host of the Djiboutian version."
The Djiboutian version??? Why can't I find any more info on this than one short mention?

- Dear Kevin,
You are the best Blue's Clues host ever.
I think you should do every episode of Blue's Clues for Steve because you are my hero. I hope you liked this message. Sincerely, William P.S. the 5th letter in my first name makes a "y" sound.

- Sorry but no one can beat Kevin!
This lens has brought back so many memories of my oldest watching and playing Blue's Clues. He's almost 10 now and hates it when I remind him how much he loved Blues Clues and Dora the Explorer.

- I think it's all about who was the host when your child was watching it, LOL! My oldest is almost 15, and I wouldn't even dare bring up how much he loved Blue's Clues!
Thanks for dropping by!

- Chin on floor. It never occurred to me that Blues Clues would be in other countries. Fascinating. (Also, thanks for stopping by my Creating a Thankful Tree lens... I'm sure that it would be a big hit with your family, if you aren't doing it already.)

- Hey, I speak Korean, and the picture of the Korean one says "???? ????" (Su-su-kke-kki beul-ru-beul-ru" which is the title of Blue's Clues in Korea. I don't know what the hosts name is, though, but I'll ask my South Korean friends if they know...
