Cutting your baby's nails 

This week I'm coming to you live from my office Every couple of days Pyper has a cut on her face, and so the thought of trying to cut her fingernails would send her through the roof! And then we would think "oh no not another battle", as her hands would fly around. It got a lot worse before it got better so what we thought we would do is to basically try something new.

Everytime we need to cut her fingernails which is usually once a week, we used to wait until she was feeding so it's a lot easier than holding her hands and trying to cut them straight off the bat. However that way she's mostly interested drinking her bottle and not insterested in having her nails cut. So what to do? About the Host of DIY Father 

Scott Lancaster and co-hosts Eric Mooij and Stefan Korn

Scott Lancaster
Scott Lancaster is the founder of DIY Father. He is the father of a baby girl Pyper with his wife Renee whom gave birth to her in July 2007. After finding out there was a lack of information for fathers, and their need to learn more and be given more knowledge, Scott approached the other 2 directors who could help build the business.

When not involved in DIYFather.com. Scott is a co-owner of Café Bastille and helps run his wife's businesses also. Scott has an Applied Science majoring in Agriculture and comes from a farming background and with that has a practical approach to different situations. Before moving to the city to buy businesses Scott spent time after university working for farmers.

Scott is also interested in FX currency trading, which he has just started with!

Eric Mooij (pronounced Moy)
Eric stands for families working, coming from a broken family and having relived it again with his own children, he is has some experiences with being a father on the outside working hard to be what it means to be a role model for his children. He is the father to Nastassja (13, girl), Christian (12, boy) and Amber (11, girl) just to note they will be teenagers next year, Eric has regular contact with his children and supports them in everyway possible.

When not in DIYFather.com Eric works full time for Datacom Systems in IT support, where he leads a small team of technical analysts in support of a large range of government and private organizations.
With his wife Andrea he also has a Skin Care and Nutrition business called USANA Health Sciences as well as a few property investments.
If you are one to go out on the town during the weekends in Wellington you might just come across Eric, he sometimes works as a Doorman for the Vespa Lounge Bar in Wellington.

Whenever there is time to himself he is either with his children and wife, or renovating their home.

Stefan Korn
Stefan describes himself as one of NZ's "e-vangelists" - he is very passionate about e-Commerce and the Web, and in general loves getting involved in new businesses. His partner Raquel gave birth to their son "Noah" in May 2007 and the experience of becoming a father as well as the challenges of looking after Noah have prompted him to come on board DIYFather.com to help make a difference in the parenting space.

Apart from DIYFather.com Stefan is a director of WebFund Ltd, Tonatiuh Ltd and Global Registries Ltd as well as a partner at Si Spanish Language Institute. Stefan has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and an MBA in International Business. After "doing the corporate thing" for companies like HP, Oracle and InterContinental Hotels Group he came to NZ in 2004 and has since become a serial entrepreneur.

Stefan is also actively engaged in community projects and enjoys tutoring at Wellington Community Education. His company WebFund has helped put together Celsias.com, one of the world's leading Blogs on Climate Change.

Outside of his professional engagements and family he enjoys a bit of DJing and making his own T-Shirts.
