Internet Business Classes for WAHM's

1. Are you a newbie to the internet? Intermediate? Advanced looking for a few pointers? The classes should teach you everything you need to know is a way that is appropriate to your level of understanding.


2. Do the classes help you build a business or just talk about building an internet business in theory? As truly good class will teach you by having you do it. By the end of class, do you have a business or just notes about what to do?


3. The classes should provide you with ALL the tools you need to start your internet business, and train you how to use them. This includes all the tools to do good niche research, find good keywords, write SEO friendly pages, collect and analyze traffic data, link development, monetization models, etc.


4. Does the class give you a solid blue-print for action? Many classes have a great array of things to do but fail to organize it for you. This can leave a new internet business person overwhelmed.


5. Do the classes have real, live instructors? Some internet courses are strictly recorded webinars and tele-conferences where you have no opportunity to interact with the instructors. What do you do if you have a question? How can you get personal attention? Make sure your classes have a way to contact real people--real EXPERIENCED people.


6. How much interaction do you have with your classmates? Support from people facing the same challenges as yourself is vital to success. Every new business has its dark-of-the-night moments.

• I work on my own schedule. Don't wrap my life around the classes but can view them at my convenience.


• I have a structure to keep me on track. Building an internet business has many steps and the class simplifies it.


• The classes ease me into the self-discipline needed for building a business. By the time the classes are done, I have developed the habits to keep the momentum on my website.


• I can go to class in my pajamas.

• I'm used to books. It can be hard to always read a computer screen. But if this is true, then you must ask yourself, "why am I starting an internet business?"


• I can't really think of reasons why I don't like e-learning.

• They promote other peoples products and get paid a commission. This is called affiliate marketing.


• They have an informational website and get paid to put ads on it. Google adsense is an example of this but there are many other types as well.


• They make their own products and sell them. Games, craft kits, wedding supplies--all these could be sold as a home business.


• They write a e-book or e-course and sell that. These people are called infoneurs because they sell information.


• They offer consulting over the internet. Webmasters, personal coaches, therapists can all do this.


• They start a membership site where people pay a monthly fee to have access to your information.

• You have a huge range of business possibilities which can keep you endless entertained learning and stretching.


• You can build a business about virtually any topic (but to be honest, some will make money easier than others--that's a different story)


• There is relatively little start-up cost.

• You really are on your own. If you lack self-discipline, and internet business is not for you.


• There can be a huge learning curve. Depending on how much computer savvy you have, you may be in for a rough ride (although I can think of 2 very excellent business training classes which are suitable for absolute beginners).


• The business can take a long time to generate income.


• You can end up strapped to your computer on even the most beautiful days.


• You can begin to think that all your "friends" are just icons on a computer page--sometimes you need to talk to real people.
