My Collection Of Online Fishing Games

Here are some of the fishing games I enjoy the most. I've spent a few days going through most online fishing games I could get my hands on and i've filtered them and ended up with the collection I'm about to talk about. If you like fishing and there's no way to be on the water just have a look at these games, they'll cheer you up.

What I love about these games is that they are free and they are always on your computer so you can go fishing at any time on any weather.

So let's have a look at some of my favs

Lake Fishing - This is a great fishing game. Why? It manages to make you feel like you're actually there on the lake. It has great graphics and it's not difficult to play - the fish you catch are nicely represented and the line tension bar keeps you alert when reeling in a fish. It's also fun to catch species of fish that you wouldn't expect to find in an online fishing game - try it out and see what I'm talking about.

Bass Fishing This is a fun casual fishing game in which you have to move your boat LEFT and RIGHT using the arrow keys and drop your lure with the UP and DOWN keys. It's all about timing... have the lure in front of the fish too early or too late and it won't bite. Also mind the fact that you can't reel up the lure just a bit - when you take your finger off the DOWN button the lure will go all the way up to the rod tip. Since there are goals to accomplish and so called "levels" to pass, you can spend quite a bit of time playing Bass Fishing.

Weekend Fishing This is also one of my favorite games, even though I thought it was terrible for the first minute or so of gameplay. Once you get used to the mechanics of the game it's actually quite fun and requires a bit of skill. The trick is to click on the angler and then with the let mouse button pressed to click on the water - this way you will cast the float further and more accurately. Also be patient, you'll get lots of snags, plants and other water creatures before you land a fish.

Fishing Champion - I'd have to give this one my vote for the funniest and most complex game of the lot. It comes with cartoonish graphics and you can catch a few varieties of fish, from bass to rainbow trout. You cast the float by holding the left mouse button pressed and when a fish is hooked you keep the button pressed to reel it in. Add a map with different fishing locations, a price for each fish caught and other fun stuff and you end up with a really cool online fishing game.

Go Fishing - i like this game a lot - similar (awesome) graphics as in Lake Fishing and the game just manages to make you feel right there on the water's edge. You click a button to cast the float and when you get a strike you click it again to hook the fish. You can catch roach, carp and other types of fish. And it's funny how sometimes the fish just don't want to bite - just like in the real world. Well, 10-12 seconds is probably the longest you'll ever have to wait but in online gaming time this is an eternity.
