Internet Improving Accessibility, Variety of Aromatherapy Candles
Aromatherapy Candles
When aromatherapy candles first arrived on the scene consumers didn't have many options. Back then aromatherapy candles were all made from paraffin, and when you could even find them, you considered yourself fortunate if you had an opportunity to choose between votives and pillars.Nowadays things are much different. Thanks to the Internet, aromatherapy candles are easily accessible and available in every medium and style imaginable. Although paraffin is still a very common medium for aromatherapy candles, it now competes with a variety of other waxes.
Perhaps the most popular of which are soy wax and palm wax. Purists tend to gravitate toward them due to their natural ingredients and clean, toxin-free burn. Aromatherapy candles made from gel wax have also gained a following, in large part because of their visual impact, glowing warmly as they burn and refracting the light generated by their flames.
Container candles currently vie with votives for domination of the overall candle market, including the aromatherapy niche. Without looking too hard you can find aromatherapy candles housed in anything from travel tins and coconut shells to apothecary jars and delicate frosted vases. Pillar aromatherapy candles are fast becoming an anomaly, increasingly absent from candle manufacturers' product line.
Doubtless similar scenarios are playing out with other once-relatively esoteric products because of the ever-increasing influence of the Internet on our lives. It should be interesting to watch the further evolution of this process unfold.
