Internet network marketing is much more fun than pure retail internet marketing because of the team spirit, support from the upline and company, the leverage, and the residual income. In addition, it costs much less to start up an mlm business . Successful Network marketers work as a team. Building a network marketing team all over the world is exciting , when it comes time to meet people in the team in their own country.

Pure Retail Internet marketing is different to Internet Network Marketing in a number of ways:

1) Leveraged Income

Network marketers have a team of people advertising the products, and folks are paid based on the whole team's efforts. An internet marketer needs to work consistently on optimizing their websites and/or pay for advertising.. A network marketer can leverage his or her time even more, by using the internet. They can use Webinars, Skype Calls, and Internet Marketing systems. to train their teams and market to prospects, hundreds at a time if they want.

However, internet marketers don't usually have leverage, unless they create their own product and have large teams of affiliates promoting their product for them. This way of marketing is more challenging for an internet marketer.

2) The Residual Income

Network Marketers receive residual income from customers and their team when they reorder products each month. Network marketers earning six figure incomes are still doing the same amount of work they did when they earned 4 or 5 figure incomes. As the number of people in the organization grow, everyone gets paid more commissions, but leaders branch off to look after their own smaller teams, making less work for the original leader.

So, a network marketer can stop working and still receive residual income, just as an author of a book continues to receive income long after the book has been written.

Many internet marketers promote affiliate programs, which do have some residual income. However, an affiliate program does not have the same leverage or the same earnings potential as a network marketer does. Marketing an affiliate program can earn income from one or 2 levels, whereas an mlm compensaton plan will pay many different bonuses, and pay on many levels.

Some network marketing companies pay on all levels below a person.

3) Support from Company and Upline Team

With internet mlm, the company and it's support team are there to assist with all the operational details of the business, and even with some of the marketing. The company looks after the monetary transactions (merchant banking), ships the products and handles complaints and returns.

Most companies will provide a website (or two) and advertising tools, as well as lots of training material. Additional advertising and marketing tools are the only costs for a network marketer.

A retail marketer online has to pay all their website hosting fees, training, merchant bank fees and other start up costs, in addition to their advertising.

4) The Team Spirit

Network Marketers work as a team, they have an upline support team and all those who join them are part of their team. Assisting others in the team to earn money is a lot of fun and it's great to make friends with people all over the world, especially when you get to meet them personally and visit with them in their own country. Another advantage of team work, is that Network marketers share the advertising costs throughout the team.

As a marketer on the internet, it's rather lonely at first because everything is done on your own. Internet marketers only get paid on what they do, and they do all the work by themselves, (unless they pay someone to assist them)

To summarize, Internet Network Marketing has the following advantages: Network marketers have more residual income because they are paid on the whole team's efforts, there is support from upline and the company, they have more leverage and they get the benefits of being part of a team.
