Internet Marketing as a Career

Why not consider being an Internet Marketer as a career option? More and more people are doing that now. The more I surf, the more I see that there are many people making a living (or a fortune) on the Internet. I think it's a good career choice to consider, so this lens is all about Internet Marketing.

I've also created a website for internet marketing newbies as well as seasoned internet marketers. Check it out: www.internetmarketingaccelerated.com

What Are Your Internet Marketing Problems?

Most people, when starting an Internet business will almost always encounter a thousand and one problems. Some people even have problems before they even start their business.

For people who not have started their business, their problems are:

1. What to sell?
2. I don't know HTML.
3. How do I build a website?
4. I'm not an expert at anything so what product can I create?
5. I have no idea how to start.

For the people who have already put up their websites, they'll mainly face 2 challenges:

1. How to generate traffic?
2. How to increase my conversion rate?

What are the problems you face as an Internet Marketer? Please comment because I want to hear from you. There are many people like you and it would be great to gain support from each other knowing that we face many of the same challenges. So tell me about it.

IM for Newbies - How Can I Make Money On The Internet?

3 Basic Ways to Make Money on the Internet:
(But please note that these are definitely not get rich quick schemes because they take time to build up.)

1. Recommend other people's products

If you're recommending other people's product, it's called affiliate marketing. That is, other people have created the product and they are offering you a commission for selling it for them. Commissions usually range from 40-70% if it is a digital product. Here are some ways you can promote your affiliate products:

> Forums
> News groups
> Your own blog
> Your own Squidoo lens
> Articles
> Pay-per-click advertising
> Link to other people's websites

2. Create and promote your own product

You can take the time to write your own ebook about your area of expertise or you can get someone else to write it. For example, Chicken soup for the soul was written by an unknown person (ghost writer). For resources on where to get writers, check the link at the end of this post.

Now, I know what you're thinking... You're thinking that you're not an expert at anything or you can't think of anything you know a lot about and could write about. But there are many good products out there created by average people who put their life's passion into an ebook.

Think harder, think of what you absolutely love doing, what excites you so much you stay up all night to do without getting tired? Can you put your knowledge in these areas in a comprehensive manner into an ebook or audio or video recording?

3. Take part in the Adsense program

For this, you'll need to create your own website or blog, put adsense on it and start driving traffic (as described earlier on). To put adsense on your website or blog, simply go to Google's website, click on "advertising programs" and follow the simple instructions. Do you need to know HTML to do this? No, but it helps.
