Here I am sitting here on the verge of bankruptcy splashing aroud like a drowning octopus and whammo it hits me. I think I actually get this internet marketing jazz. It's taken me a lot of wading but I am starting to see a clear picture into it all. At this point I feel like Ive spent hours of listening to people woffle on about very little except the great earns they are making and I am making very little.

I have surfed around marketing sites before and really haven't got anywhere so I thought I'd put myself out on a limb and just try and build a internet marketer's life out of nothing. I've gotta try something to stop me looking as frustrated as my cat!!

For a start I needed a broadband connection. Easier said than done when I've been careless with my money in the past. I couldn't get one through the local provider Telecom with a shoddy credit history so I found kiwilink and have found their service pristine. Great for New Zealand Customers.

Okay I've been surfing round for some info for a while as to how to start my own business on the internet and I've found that affiliate linking is one way of doing it. But the big catch for me is starting with no money so I'm limited to free sites or sites that cost very little.

I needed to build a free website, so I found Squidoo and joined.

Think of this as an online diary I will be updating daily as I go through the process of my internet journey and if I can be of any help to anyone who is also in a rut then I have served my purpose.

Surely there is a way of generating money first so I can learn how to put together my product, or what products I am actually selling.

Then I found resellrightsfornewbies and gleaned a lot of free information as well as making some useful affiliate links. The whole idea here is to buy resell rights to digital products such as ebooks and then design pages and market them yourself.

The next part of the journey I became curious about was creating a list, or getting people to join me in my journey and I knew I needed to hunt out some software as my own IT knowledge was limited.

I surfed around for the rest of the day and didn't earn a cent on day one, but Ive got this site up and running and will continue to add to it as my journey progresses.

Have made a lot of discoveries today including affiliate programmes and ebook marketing. It's amazing the information that is out there for free, even if it does take a little longer than buying a pay programme. See you tomorrow

One thing I realised early on in the journey was the need to create a lens. Not only can you promote a product of your own, or promote your favourite sites but you actually create valuable portals for people looking for information. So if you know anything about anything you probably have a useful product to someone.

I came across this idea on my first brief look into internet marketing about 7 years ago. I thought that I had some great ideas and thought I could sell these ideas somewhere, but then becamed confused with patenting and found out about the need for engineers to help develop my inventions. So I thought maybe I could sell just the ideas themselves somehow, and whammo I now have a lens great free invention ideas

Search Engine Optimization and SEO Tools

I joined with Scour where you get paid to search and looked up 'free content' pages to get pictures for my websites. Here is the link for Scour. Fancy that, getting paid just to look things up!!



I notice there are alot of free ebooks available such as the links below that really help to get you started but if you wanna do in on the cheap or for free, with very little IT skills, there is a lot to read.

I also noticed social networking such as Twitter seems to help with promoting your website so I got a twitter account click here if you wanna follow me Im adding some of the key gurus twitters to mine. This is my main blog site so please feel free to make a comment or select to follow me. Let me know what sites you know for newbies like me so I can promote them and link to your site.

So Im really starting to get the idea now but I think I need a Landing page and a squeeze page and opt-in forms for people to subscribe to my newsletter.

I am beginning to think having an IT diploma would really help but lets see if I can't get through this without one and without spending any money!!

From what I gather when it comes to content it needs to be in HTML rather than Java. Hey do correct me if I am wrong but from my newbie stance Ive only been able to activate HTML.

Affiliate programmes aren't just what they used to be. They aren't only about putting ads onto your website. It seems the most important things I am now lacking are traffic and a 'list' of subscribers, so apart from a website, where else would you find a list?

Good morning. I worked well into the night exploring my collected ebooks and tutorials and tried to boil down amoungst all the words excactly what I needed to do and I made some breakthroughs.

1. I needed to get some traffic happening

2. I needed to figure out how to get a list of my own and a squeeze page of my own.

3. I needed to create more web pages using different formats.

4. I needed a domain host

One way I found to get traffic happening was ezinearticles.com where you can accomplish a few things at once. For a start you can get into the world of authoring articles and get known as an article author, but the greatest thing about ezinearticles.com is that you can use a link back to your domain site (or landing page.)

I tried to build one of these through weebly.com but at the moment I'm having a bt of trouble with the editor, so I'm going to surf out and see if I can't find one I can understand for now.

Yes you can squelch up the hours on the net, especially if you become untargeted!!

Today I have looked at a few earning options. One is freelance article writing, which doesn't seem overly well paid but I could be wrong. I suppose the main thing on the net is getting yourself out there and recognised and then the world is likely to be an oyster (rather than something like the roe of a fish). Anyway I signed up for getafreelance.com which looks like it has some valuable aspects to it especially when it comes to getting jobs done. No dream job for me yet though.

Then I stumbled across the PTC programmes or Pay to Click and it looks like I'm making money on these for doing what I already do while I am researching how to get wealthy on the internet when you are starting with no money at all, and I do mean none. So now I have MONEY COMING IN!! clixsense.com

Well that was a dampner, and taught me a lesson too. I just wasted half an hour looking into the worldprofit scheme only to be insulted by it's leaders. I talked to the actual Ceo of this company live and his response to my having five dollars in the bank when his scheme cost $100 was that I was pathetic. This is one company I can't recommend on principle. I don't think he needed to insult me. I found this a vigourous hardsell and did wonder about them working so hard for a hundred dollar sale, raised my eyebrows?

At any rate the internet is still a community of people and the poor don't need to be told they are pathetic. I have worked hard my whole life.I am circumstantially poor.(I'm sure some of you might understand this) but it doesn't stop me putting myself out there to try and get ahead. We are all people, not empty avatars.
