Tips on writing good appealing sales copy

You want to make sure that every time you go about writing a Sales Letter that you maximize its potential and effect. You need to pre-think your customers' mindset before you set about writing sales copy to captivate their attention.

Here are 10 tips to writing a Super-Selling SalesLetter.

1. Headline - Your headline is key. If your target audience is not captivated by your headline in order to take the necessary action of clicking on your ad then you will have lost the game right here. Make it something compelling for your reader to want to read more. Use descriptive words and phrases that stimulate interest in the main benefit of whatever it is you are offering.

2. Talk To Your Reader - Write your salescopy as though you are speaking directly to your reader in a conversation. Use the words "You" and "Your" as much as possible. Consider what they may ask or object to and answer these possible objections or questions in your salescopy.

3. Assume Nothing - Always make it 100% clear what benefits the reader should expect from whatever it is that you are selling. Make all action steps that you want the reader to take 100% foolproof.

4. Write Simply - Make sure that your sales letter is easy to read, has a smooth flow from one idea to the next. You need a compelling first line as well as a motivating last line that will drive your reader to take the action step(s) you want them to take.

5. Write Short Paragraphs - You want to make everything as easy as possible for your readers. Long paragraphs tend to lose people's interest. Short paragraphs and bullet points are extremely easy on the eye and keep the reader's interest longer. If a reader gets lost in your long paragraphs it is easy for them to click off your website and head somewhere else.

8. Focus On Benefits - People always want to know WIIFM (what's in it for me) so you need to sell the benefits of your product as opposed to the features.

9. Know Your Purpose - Always know what you want to get out of your ad prior to writing the copy. Long Sales Letters seem to work better than short, however, only go as long as you need to while providing your information. Do not repeat yourself too often.

10. P.S. - Always include a P.S. at the end of your sales copy. Why? Research shows that a P.S. is one of the second most read part of any letter. So it is an opportunity to highlight your biggest benefit to your prospect.

Reviews Can Boost Affiliate And Internet Marketing Profits

As an Affiliate Marketer there are many ways in which you can increase your earnings and one of the easiest ways is to review the products that you are an affiliate for and post your review and recommendation online at your blog if you have one.

By the way, if you do not have a blog as an
affiliate marketer you definitely should as it is one of the easiest ways to promote your affiliate products.

Especially with a blog where you have customers or readers who regularly come to your blog, there is a level of trust that you have built up with your followers and, as such, they will follow your recommendations for products that you have reviewed. You have to tread carefully here though as you do not want to overdo this method of promotion either and look as though you are recommending everything that's being promoted online. Your reputation is at stake.

One key point to remember when doing your product reviews and recommendations is that you do not want to only mention the positives about the product or service. Be careful about hyping the product up. Make mention of the things that you do not like about the product or service as well.

Rather than making you look bad, this will make your recommendation more realistic and believable which will tend to increase your credibility.

Realize that the purpose of your review is to give your readers the facts, good and bad, about the product or service so that they are better equipped to make an informed decision as to whether or not the product or service is something they would be interested in purchasing.

You want to be open and honest with your reviews. Your readers will start to view you as an expert in your field as well.

If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche, they will be more inclined to make that purchase. On the other hand, if you are not exuding any confidence and self-assurance
in endorsing your products, they will probably sense that and will go in search of another product or service which is more believable.

Whenever possible offer proof that the product does what it promises to do. Some ways to offer proof would be from testimonials from people who have used the product, case studies showing a situation before using the product, during the use of the product and after using the product.

People love stories so whenever you can incorporate a story into your review you will be strengthening it significantly.

In case you have not realized it yet, people are not stupid. They eventually see through hype and insincerity so make sure you stay away from those at all costs. It would be best if you have actually used the product yourself so that you can give a genuine opinion of the features and benefits of
the product. Your reputation is really at stake here and you do not want to review and promote a product or service that is not worth the cost or does not live up to what it promises to do.

Perhaps you are unable to actually buy all of the products you are an affiliate marketer for, in this case, at the very least do research online on other reviews about the product and base your review on what you read. Never try to deceive your readers by pretending that you have used the product. be honest and explain that your review is based on research that you have done and not on actually
using the product.

Product reviews are powerful promotional material, once done with honesty and sincerity you should find a boost to your profits by using them.
