Keep This One Thing in Mind for All Markting You Do

We've always heard of "Golden Rules" for living our lives, but when it comes to building a Network Marketing Business, this is one to live by for all your internet network marketing strategies.

Even Family Re-Unions can Teach You About Business

Ever since I was a little boy, I have always been told to live my life by certain, "Golden Rules".  Respect your elders, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, live your passion, always do your best, etc...

As I've been away on holidays, I've had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with family.  It's given me the opportunity to spend a lot of time thinking about some of the best strategies for building my business.

The "Golden Rule" I wanted to share with you today has come out of that thought.  Before I get to it, I want to give you a little more background on my trip.

This trip has led me 1300 km (800 miles) east across Canada with my beautiful wife to a family re-union and 35th Wedding Anniversary both for my in-laws.

Generally being a quiet person by nature, I have learned the best way to be social and not have to talk a lot about myself is to get good at asking questions.  I really enjoy this because people love to be able to talk about themselves, and I truly love learning about others and giving them the joy of sharing their stories.

I have had my own network marketing business for a while, and a number of the people at these events knew it, so I had absolutely no intention of talking about it at all. I really wanted to focus on finding out about them.

The things I learned were truly eye-opening.

I met people that had all kinds of health issues, financial issues, time issues. Before I learned about Renegade University and attraction network marketing, the first thing I would have done with each was jump right into how I could help them with this and that and everything they were having issues with. But I didn't.

I asked more questions. I found out what they really wanted, what was really bothering them, what they were going to do about it, etc. I never mentioned anything anything about my mlm business because I didn't want to be know as "one of those people".

What I truly realized is that "The Golden Rule" of business should always be to have the intention of making people's lives better. As long as this is your sole intent and you focus on their needs instead of yours, you will make for a positive experience for both them and you. My purpose has to always be how I can truly help those that want to be helped to get what it is that they want.

By asking questions and expressing genuine interest in people, I was able to discover that some people just need to talk about their problems and get it out, and that helps make their life better.

Some of them really enjoy venting about their problems and NEVER have any intention about doing anything about it. But being able to just talk about it and have an concerned ear to listen to makes them feel cared about and, in turn, feel better.

Then there are those that pick up on your genuine interest in them, and they realize your goal is to truly help make their life better and make a difference in the world.

In a way, I was able to "attract" them to me by caring about them. These are the people that are opern to and looking for what I have to offer. Because they fit into this category, I am going to be able to help them in a way I wasn't able to the others. The key though, is it was on their terms, not mine.

So, the key thing to keep in mind is that when your sole purpose is that of this "Golden Rule" of having the intent to make someone's life better, you can still utilize "attraction network marketing" in the offline world and have it a positive experience. But when you carry this same intent into the online world -- you can really make a difference!

Great lens Jason and congrats on being found by google. You're doing a great job and I love the message of your lens. Attraction marketing is all about providing value for people and in my book that requires having a genuine interest in their needs. Thanks for bringing home this point.

Was searching key word 'Internet network marketing' on Google for my own content and found a Digg Post (yours). That led me here. That means you certainly know what you're doing! Multiply it by 100 and you'll be a guru! Keep up the great work.

I agree totally with you about following the Golden Rule in your business. I had a store front business for 10 years and learned that it works the same whether you are face to face or computer to computer.
