Formed in 1998 in New York City, Interpol hit the big time with their critically acclaimed first album Turn On the Bright Lights. Oft compared to Joy Divison, their sound is full of throbbing base and sparse guitar.

Who are Interpol?
American indie rock band Interpol (or Interpol NYC) was formed in 1997 by Daniel Kessler, Carlos Dengler, Paul Banks, and Greg Drudy. After Drudy's departure post the band's EP release Fukd I.D. #3, Kessler recruited Sam Fogarino to play drums. They have released three albums: Turn on the Bright Lights, Antics and Our Love to Admire. Their sound and music has been heavily compared to Joy Division and The Chameleons. Interpol Albums
