Reviews of Intex Air Beds
The are a number of different Intex models on the market and the newest ones have some advanced features that the earlier models did not have. As with many other inflatable air mattress styles that are available, Intex has also recently introduced a model that has a built in air pump.According to some owners of the Intex Air Bed, the inclusion of an air pump as part of the inflatable air bed is a much needed improvement. One reviewer who owned an Intex inflatable air mattress wrote that she found the air mattress very stable and comfortable and she gave it high marks for not losing air as so many other similar products are known to do.
Her biggest complaint in the review that she posted, was that the inflatable air mattress was extremely difficult to inflate. The reviewer goes on to explain that the "Intex Double Quick Air Pump" which came with the queen size air bed was anything but quick. The manual pump failed to inflate the air mattress to any significant degree after fifteen minutes of pumping. She followed the instructions as provided, which stated the manual pump was designed to pump air into the mattress during both the up and down stokes. After more than an hour of experimenting they discovered the only way to get the pump working was to do half strokes which succeeded in getting the air into the mattress, but was a very tiring ordeal.
She concluded that the only way she would make a purchase of another Intex Air Bed would be if she could get one of the newer self-inflating models. It should be noted that this particular reviewer was describing her experience with the Intex Queen Downy Airbed model.
Other reviewers have posted similar complaints about the Intex Airbed, but at the same time there are many positive comments about the quality of the inflatable air mattress material that was used. It also seems that the dual wave beam construction of the air bed made it more stable and comfortable, especially when used by two people.
This particular product also has a flocked air bed top, comfort feature. The material has a similar feel to velour and it covers the top side of the air mattress bed. This layer helps to reduce sweating which is a common problem with many plastic and vinyl air mattress beds. Another benefit of this flocked top is that the rayon becomes a non-slip surface which helps to keep the sheets in place.
Another review was posted by a man who owned the Intex Recreation Double Airbed. He did not have any trouble inflating his Intex Air Bed, as the other reviewer did. However, he was disappointed in the amount of air that the mattress lost over the course of the night, leaving him with an aching back. He suggested that the best use for that model of inflatable air bed would be to use it for those visitors you would rather not have stay too long.

There has been a great increase in choices for inflatable air mattress styles recently and many people are no longer choosing the air mattress beds that are low to the ground because these older styles only lift a person up a few inches. The new innovation of the raised air bed is becoming more popular for a variety of reasons.First of all, the closer you are to the floor, the colder it is going to be during the night, making it harder to be comfortable and rest without interruption. This type of a bed gets you up off the floor and this fact alone should help to improve your quality and quantity of sleep.
The raised air bed is becoming the inflatable air bed of choice because it is so much easier to get into and out of than the ground level air mattresses of yesteryear. Anyone who has back or joint problems will much prefer getting out of a raised inflatable bed over one that is so low that it either causes them too much pain when trying to get in or out, or is simply impossible for them to maneuver.
And, if you are using the air mattress bed for yourself as your main mattress, then wouldn't you much rather start your day in a sitting position coming out of a raised bed of air than trying to haul yourself up off the floor? There's not a much better way to send yourself the message that you are getting older, than to start your day off grunting and groaning just to get out of your bed.
The third primary reason why the raised type of air bed is becoming so popular is because you are not in any danger of your hips or shoulders ending up against the floor as sometimes happens with a low-to-the-ground, older inflatable air bed you might have. Unfortunately, even the best inflatable air mattress has a tendency to lose some air during the night. However, with the raised air beds you are starting out with a much greater volume of air, so a loss of ten percent will hardly be noticeable. In the thinner, older style, such a loss can make a big difference. Also, in general, the quality of the materials used in the raised air beds is reported to be improved which also helps to minimize the air loss during the course of the night.
If you decide to purchase a raised air bed to have on hand for overnight guests, then you may also encounter a strange tendency that others have experienced: you just might decide to trade in your old, traditional mattress beds. Many people have set up these raised air beds for their guests, taken a moment to test it or even taken a nap on it and decided that it was much more comfortable than the mattress in their master bedroom.
Many people are discovering that a raised air bed is a very viable option to use as their main bed. These air beds are often found to be more supportive and comfortable than their traditional mattresses. This is because they can be fine-tuned to just the right firmness, which in turn provides the ultimate in sleep comfort.
