Intex Seahawk II Boat Set

We drove about 60 miles north of our house to get to our destination. We took 2 cars. My husband had the 2 Intex Seahawk II Boat Sets in their carrying cases in his car. When we got to the river, I parked my car about 5 miles downstream. Then we all drove together about 5 miles up the river and set up the rafts.

Each one came with a hand pump. It took maybe 20-25 minutes to inflate each raft completely. Each raft comes with 2 seat cushions which you also have to blow up.

We screwed the oars into their sockets, loaded our cooler into the raft with our son, and set off down the river.

As I said, this was a 5 mile trip. We encountered very few rapids because of the dry summer. Because the river was so low, both rafts got caught on river rocks a few times. We were able to dislodge them without any harm to either raft. These rafts are solidly constructed!

The sides of the raft were sturdy enough to sit on, and when you're in a small boat for 4 hours, you do need to change positions.

The oars were a little creaky, but they paddled us down the river OK. One of my son's oars unscrewed and fell into the water during the trip. We were able to retrieve it and screw it in tighter. I don't think he screwed the 2 parts together very well during set up.

The Intex Seahawk II Boat Set is roomy enough. Both my husband and I were in one. My son and a cooler full of sandwiches and drinks and snacks were in the other. We also carried the pumps, carrying cases, towels for swimming and extra clothes.

When we docked 4 hours later, we were able to dry off and deflate both rafts in about 20 minutes. Each raft went into it's own carrying case, and then we headed for home. The Intex Seahawk II Boat Set made for a really great afternoon and we can't wait to do it again!

This raft is perfect if you like to go rafting but don't want to pay the $50 and up per head to rent a boat. Literally pays for itself after one or two uses.
