InventHelp Scam Busters Fight Back Against Fraud
This InventHelp Scam Busters lens contains all sorts of information resources to help inventors and other consumers spot scams. In the inventor service field, as well as in any other industry, there are many people who misrepresent themselves and seemingly get away with it. Remember: anyone who makes wild promises (such as guaranteed profits) is probably out to scam you.
How to Avoid "Too Good to Be True" Scams
For a while now, teeth whiteners and teeth whitening services have been advertised all over the web, with photos of yellow teeth and white teeth side-by-side for you to compare and contrast. Many consumers feel the results are obviously exaggerated. They surmise, "It's too good to be true - must be a scam!"
Why do we InventHelp Scam Busters care about bleaching teeth? It's considered one of the most talked-about scams on the Internet. The Better Business Bureau (BBB), responding to an onslaught of consumer complaints in 2009, issued a warning in October to consumers to be extremely wary of the many companies that offered a free trial for teeth whitening products, and named four brands specifically.
However, this Internet teeth whitening hoax is certainly not the only scam around, and we at InventHelp do care about inventors being scammed! As such, we'd like to share our knowledge of invention scams with you.
Here's a compare-and-contrast assessment from InventHelp Scam Busters as a lesson in consumer protection for inventors who seek help with the promotion of their inventions. Consider a competitor of InventHelp showing a photo of a fellow excited about the money he's holding. He's illustrating a dishonest claim by an inventor service firm that urges you to "Sell Your Invention for CASH! Make Money NOW!" This is a false claim. Why? Because it is not typical of what the average inventor can expect. Only a small number of inventions actually do make money - as InventHelp will tell you. Yet this and other similar claims are being made to entice inventors.
Does it sound too good to be true? Just like the yellow vs. super-white teeth scams, these types of invention company ads that promise quick money should trigger red flags in the minds of inventors who are looking for help. "Make Money NOW!" is a promise that, in reality, rarely comes to fruition for most folks. InventHelp takes the opposite tack. We try to make sure that all our potential clients are aware of the risks involved with trying to submit a new product idea to companies. It's the honest thing to do!
Who can advise you? Most people have a family dentist they can ask about whiter teeth, or know one who is very knowledgeable. When it comes to inventor services, however, very few inventors know someone who is qualified to give them advice on promoting their inventions or finding the right company to help them.
InventHelp Scam Busters Tip: If any inventor help service (or any business, for that matter) is gushing forth promises that sound too good to be true, use your common sense. Go elsewhere. Also, look for a company that's been around for a long time. InventHelp has been in business since 1984 and has over 60 sales offices in the U.S. and abroad. InventHelp has traditionally taken a leadership role in educating inventors through our INPEX Inventors University. And most recently, we have launched an InventHelp Scam website to help warn inventors about scams in the invention industry.
