Long Term Investing

Investing is better looked at as a long term activity. I am talking about long term as in 30 years, not 10 years. Your money has a better chance to manage the storms and you have to save less to have more! Still scared to invest? You can take away that fear with lessons for investing for beginners

Why You Should Not Invest

We often hear why we should be investing, but we do not hear why we should not be investing. I have created a list of reasons that you should skip investing. (Hint: there is some sarcasm here).

1. You want a government controlled retirement.

2. If you are spending more than you make it is better to get your spending under control first. If you spend more than you make you are either creating debt or spending your savings. Better to eliminate this wealth building problem first.

3. You enjoy spending money to the credit card companies.

4. You want to fill out all those great student loan forms for your kid's college.

5. You enjoy feeling stressed about money. (Stress is good for you right?)

6. You did not really want to follow your dreams, a paycheck is way more fun to pursue. (Especially when it is paycheck that makes you depend on companies)

7. You have already retired and have enough money. (in this case way to go you rock!)

Why do you think you should skip investing? I would love to hear your thoughts (sarcastic and not - if in doubt include which it is)
