I'd love to hear whether you had any success with this recipe!

From the lens How to Decorate Invisible Cupcakes.

  • cmadden May 13, 2012 @ 8:55 pm | delete
    Very funny!
  • Coe May 4, 2012 @ 10:27 am | delete
Hilarious! I especially like the poll "Which invisibly decorated cupcake design is the best?"
  • sebilucy99 Apr 19, 2012 @ 10:09 pm | delete
I can't wait to make them for my birthday. I just hope my friends catch on!
  • bloomingrose Apr 15, 2012 @ 5:51 pm | delete
Back to pin this on my "My style" board.
  • bloomingrose Mar 28, 2012 @ 5:25 pm | delete
So hilarious. I told my son about this lens and he said "You really can write about anything on Squidoo, can't you?" Angel Blessed for all over awesomeness.
  • SquidooLibris Feb 19, 2012 @ 2:11 am | delete
Such a fun and creative idea. I've heard of no calorie, but not invisible cupcakes.
  • RStiltskin Nov 4, 2011 @ 3:18 pm | delete
I was quite taken with the potted cat. Will it bloom in the spring?
  • YayasHome Aug 17, 2011 @ 4:48 am | delete
Please pass the invisible colored sprinkles.
  • mamamia2011 Jul 4, 2011 @ 7:12 pm | delete
my invisible twin will eat the invisible cupcake. hurray!
  • DaveHiggsVis May 15, 2011 @ 10:20 pm | delete
Perhaps the funniest lens I've seen so far! Good stuff!
  • PipPipHooray May 1, 2011 @ 4:30 pm | delete
So original and so much fun! ?
  • KM9999999 Mar 26, 2011 @ 3:29 pm | delete
Question: Would my invisible cate eat invisible cupcales?
  • blanckj Mar 24, 2011 @ 7:30 am | delete
It was great. I was successful in keeping them away from my cat.
  • miaponzo Feb 14, 2011 @ 3:27 am | delete
    Thanks! This was strange!
  • Wednesday_Elf Feb 11, 2011 @ 12:26 pm | delete
This was one of the funniest and cleverest 'cupcake club' lenses I've ever read and enjoyed it so much back during my angel flight last Fall. Finally compiled an 'Angel lens' and am returning to tell you that this lens has been 'featured on' and 'lensrolled to' my "SquidAngel Blessings by an Elf" lens. :-)
  • tembrooke Jan 27, 2011 @ 8:11 pm | delete
    What fun!
  • prosperity66 Jan 23, 2011 @ 4:14 pm | delete
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... Sorry, I just couldn't help myself and came back.
  • wordstock Dec 17, 2010 @ 3:57 pm | delete
The Cinnamon Cat kept wanting to see the cat pictures so I couldn't find time to make the cupcakes. I'll wait for her to take a nap. Hopefully she won't hear me.
  • oldiesmusicnut Nov 22, 2010 @ 1:03 am | delete
I absolutely love this lens! A totally mouth-drying experience. LOL!
  • Peter.Murray Oct 28, 2010 @ 9:56 am | delete
    Adding dehydrated water helps.
  • Enigmaa8 Oct 21, 2010 @ 9:44 am | delete
This is definitely an original I almost thought I was in a parallel universe!
  • richiereveley Oct 16, 2010 @ 7:17 pm | delete
I've been looking for something to add to my "Oxygen Sandwhiches" for ages.. this is perfect :)
  • Kapalbility Oct 7, 2010 @ 5:00 am | delete
I would like to nom invisible cupcakes right now, but I am on a diet. Back to my invisible treadmill.
  • emmalarkins Oct 7, 2010 @ 2:10 am | delete
    Wonderful lens! Blessed :)
  • Health-Gal Oct 6, 2010 @ 2:04 am | delete
thanks for making me start my day with a huge big laugh!
  • Gordon_Hamilton Oct 4, 2010 @ 8:17 pm | delete
Superb!!! I have this awful problem with beer and single malt - one moment it is there and the next it is gone!! It is a great relief to know that others around the world have similar experiences with food and drink! :) Brilliant lens...
  • Oct 4, 2010 @ 8:07 pm | delete
OMG! This was such a joy to go through! I LOVE your sense of humor, and the cat eating the invisible cupcake. I think I have a recipe for them around her some place ....
  • Betsi_Goutal Oct 3, 2010 @ 11:30 pm | delete
    Best. Recipe. Ever.
  • kitty222 Oct 2, 2010 @ 9:41 pm | delete
LOL, loved seeing this recipe! Probably the biggest advantage is that you can't eat them if you can't find them.
  • Amkatee Oct 2, 2010 @ 8:52 pm | delete
I had a little trouble putting my cupcakes together. I kept knocking over the invisible flour, and I think I added too much invisible salt (I thought it was invisible sugar).
  • Ramkitten Sep 27, 2010 @ 6:48 pm | delete
Definitely different! I'm actually not much of a cupcake fan, either. It's not that I don't like the taste of (some) cupcakes, but the pleasure is over so quickly and the calories stick around far too long. It's not worth it.
  • awelldressedbullet Sep 24, 2010 @ 4:17 pm | delete
Oh my goodness, this has to be one of the funniest lenses I have read in a long time! Totally loved it! - Kathy
  • Sep 24, 2010 @ 5:19 am | delete
Yes! I thought I was the only one who decorated and ate invisible cupcakes. Great lens.
  • AngelineSophia Sep 19, 2010 @ 8:38 am | delete
The best cupcake recipe ever must try it LOL.
  • DinosaurEgg Sep 19, 2010 @ 8:03 am | delete
Brilliant. As a Brit, I've just adapted this recipe to make invisible fairy cakes which are smaller but otherwise similar. Here's a picture: _/
  • Flynn_the_Cat Sep 19, 2010 @ 8:12 am | delete
As a Brit myself (currently in NZ) that's what I thought cupcakes WERE when I wrote this! When i saw how big they apparently are in the US I was terrified :D
  • DinosaurEgg Sep 19, 2010 @ 9:02 am | delete
In that case I made them just as you'd envisioned! Yeah I got a shock when I first went to the US. Biscuits (cookies) the size of saucers too!
  • LisaAuch Sep 18, 2010 @ 6:29 pm | delete
I just had to come by and see what all the fuss was about, I can't believe Wiki don't have this!
  • Joan4 Sep 17, 2010 @ 6:29 pm | delete
I was shocked to see this recipe published on line. This is my most secret recipe. I hope that all who use it get as many compliments on their cupcakes as I do! :)
  • SandyPeaks Sep 16, 2010 @ 4:22 pm | delete
I love this - especially the illustrations and quizzes!
And my security word is appropriate too - gigglewoof!
  • vbright105 Sep 16, 2010 @ 5:44 am | delete

  • Greekgeek Sep 13, 2010 @ 11:31 am | delete
Best cooking lens ever, at least until I write the "Gourmet Annie's Instant Mac 'n Cheese" cookbook.
  • Wednesday_Elf Sep 12, 2010 @ 10:24 am | delete
This non-cook person had NO success with this recipe for invisible cupcakes - and a great deal of trouble decorating said non-cupcakes - but since my visit here a few months ago, I now find myself with a pair of 'angel wings', so just had to return to leave a ~~SquidAngel Blessing~~ for humor and cleverness above and beyond the call of duty! AND, the 'blessing' is NOT invisible! :o)
  • GuyB Sep 12, 2010 @ 10:07 am | delete
My dogs and I love invisible cupcakes. He eats whatever I drop on the floor. I'm a sucker for gum drop toppings and vanilla icing. Thumbs up
  • jgelien Sep 11, 2010 @ 8:34 pm | delete
I love the inventive mind that created this lens. I sort of like my cupcakes visible and edible but I wouldn't mind a few other invisible foods. Imaginary brussels sprouts would top my list. Thanks for the laughs.
  • Pukeko Sep 11, 2010 @ 4:53 am | delete
Love it! Great lens Flynn. Glad to finally find some sweets I can enjoy guilt free.
  • tandemonimom Sep 10, 2010 @ 11:07 pm | delete
The first thing I noticed was the Hitchhiker's quote. Great choice for invisible cupcakes!
  • kajohu Sep 10, 2010 @ 9:34 pm | delete
I keep hearing about your invisible cupcakes, and I finally had to take a look (er...whatever we do to check out invisible cupcakes. (BTW -- my son introduced me to Portal last week when I asked him about "The Cake is a Lie" -- between monsters and Portal I'm not getting a lot of lensmaking done )
  • Jimmie Sep 10, 2010 @ 9:40 am | delete
Thanks for the dose of silliness tonight. Very clever.
My security word is appropriate -- goofsquid!
  • SemperFidelis Sep 10, 2010 @ 8:26 am | delete
Very creative idea for a lens Flynn! ;)

  • oztoo Sep 9, 2010 @ 1:02 am | delete
Oh I think this would be great for trick or treaters at halloween. Can't wait to try your recipes and decorating ideas they sound so easy. I might give some to hubby to share with his mates at work too.
  • Vacation-In-My-Head Sep 8, 2010 @ 9:53 pm | delete
This is absolutely great! So much fun to read, I may just have to try this and see if I can get away with it..LOL
  • JoyfulPamela Sep 8, 2010 @ 7:58 pm | delete
Thank you ~ I was sort of down today, but this new recipe cheered me right up. :-D I'll have to bake a batch of your LOL cupcakes more often.

  • Chadrew Aug 15, 2010 @ 1:45 am | delete
This is pretty much the best cupcake lens on Squidoo. Great job.
  • the777group Aug 14, 2010 @ 10:24 pm | delete
A funny, fantastic and nutritional lens! I've found that invisible cupcakes make a good match with my ever-diminishing credibility. I've lensrolled Invisible Cupcakes to my Jokes Addict lens & my Weird & Wonderful Videos lens. Excellent work.
  • candy47 Aug 10, 2010 @ 7:38 am | delete
Great lens! I'm going to make a batch of invisible cupcakes before I go to work in the morning.
  • SquidooKimberly Aug 3, 2010 @ 2:19 pm | delete
Hilarious. And perfect for my diet. Thanks for sharing a smile!
  • daoine Jul 20, 2010 @ 2:30 am | delete

  • resabi Jul 17, 2010 @ 12:43 pm | delete
I went through a lot of cupcake recipes when my daughter was in elementary school, but these are the only ones she ever liked. Clearly, we are kindred spirits.
  • Jodi_k Jul 16, 2010 @ 7:25 am | delete
LOL! So easy! So quick! And the cleanup is a snap.
  • susannaduffy Jul 13, 2010 @ 7:27 pm | delete

  • kimmanleyort Jun 10, 2010 @ 9:52 pm | delete
This is a very creative, lighthearted lens. I'm not crazy about cupcakes either so these are perfect.
  • kohuether May 14, 2010 @ 2:24 am | delete
this lens is awesome! It's so cute and clever. Mmm - I love a good invisible cupcake.
  • wishfulthinking777 May 11, 2010 @ 12:19 pm | delete
Wonderful lens! I will have to start making these cupcakes more often!
  • Mickie_G Apr 27, 2010 @ 9:23 am | delete
You have made my day. These cupcakes took my mind off "The Chatterbox" discussion on SquidAngels. So guess what I did for you?
  • Wednesday_Elf Apr 26, 2010 @ 4:57 pm | delete
I'm having trouble writing a comment here --- I'm laughing too hard! I HATE to cook and "Invisible cupcakes" (which I'd NEVER eat) are the perfect thing for me. My favorite decoration would be 'invisible sprinkles', but they'd all have to be 'invisibly' 'chocolate. Is that a problem? Will look forward to your next 'recipe' for invisible chocolate sprinkles and frosting! You are TOO funny for words!
  • Pukeko Apr 23, 2010 @ 3:32 pm | delete
This is a great lens! I would love to try invisible cupcakes!
  • genglo Apr 22, 2010 @ 5:05 pm | delete
Thanks for the tips! I'll try to see if I can bake some vegan invisible cupcakes and serve them after dinner tonight!

  • lou16 Mar 19, 2010 @ 1:07 am | delete
Fantastic lens, there really should be more information on invisible cupcakes, why I might have done better in Home Economics if these had been mentioned when I was at school :)
  • vallain Mar 18, 2010 @ 11:41 pm | delete
The cat photo was perfect to start out you page.
  • Tipi Mar 18, 2010 @ 5:26 pm | delete

    Yummy ! ~ lol
  • starlitparlit Mar 18, 2010 @ 10:02 am | delete
I think mine will have chocolate, cheesecake, cherries, tons of sugar, and of course... they'll be color changing! Awesome idea.
  • Kangaroo_Jase Mar 18, 2010 @ 4:59 am | delete
I guess since no-one else is sharing their recipes, I will just have to go and make my own for all my friends to try. They will absolutely, positively drool over the simple genius of these cupcakes.
  • MsSnow4a Mar 17, 2010 @ 1:21 pm | delete
    I love it!!!
  • KathyMcGraw Mar 17, 2010 @ 12:24 pm | delete

  • Treasures-By-Brenda Mar 16, 2010 @ 2:12 pm | delete
Excellent, excellent cupcake lens. I'm off to try your recipe right away and thinking I can whip up these cupcakes in no time whatsoever. PLUS a bonus, the icing won't be falling over like it does on my cupcakes! Perfect for those who like good food but are challenged with presentation.

Fell in love with this fantabulous lens!
I would just suggest you to take the niche over and become the Cat of invisible cupcakes. Here are a few potential lenses to make:
    * White invisible cupcakes
    * Wedding invisible cupcakes
    * Invisible cupcakes for hen parties
    * Pink baby shower invisible cupcakes...
If you need more ideas, just shoot me an email!
Blessed by a SquidAngel, tweeted, featured on my FB angel page and will blog about it too!
    ROFLMAO!
    PS The blessing is serious!
  • theraggededge Mar 16, 2010 @ 7:40 am | delete
Please see attached photo of my first attempt. I am well impressed, if I say so myself. Can you do some lenses on invisible Sunday roast dinner and perhaps kids' lunches?
  • Flynn_the_Cat Mar 16, 2010 @ 7:43 am | delete
Oh yes! I see - a really marvellous attemtp!

I might. The problem is, kids can spot vegetables a mile off, even invisible ones...
  • theraggededge Mar 16, 2010 @ 10:03 am | delete
I know! How do they do that? I tried to hide some carrot juice in some freshly juiced oranges (visible ones) but they sussed me out.
  • Tracy_Smith Mar 16, 2010 @ 1:24 am | delete
This makes me lol too funny. Its great that you try and pass it off so seriously lol.
  • KarenTBTEN Mar 15, 2010 @ 11:47 pm | delete
That first kitty picture is really funny. And, you know, cupcakes are a good subject to not take very seriously
