If you have been looking into home security camera systems there is no doubt that you have found that it can get pretty expensive. The fact is if you want to get a security system along with security cameras you're are going to have to shell out a pretty large amount of money to do that. But what most people don't know is that there are some options out there that offer great protection without the need to break the bank to get it. Today I want to talk about a specific type of security camera.

With the majority of security cameras you need either need to sit there are watch the feed from the camera or have it record somewhere for later review if something happens. With this method it is hard to prevent a crime. They are mainly used for evidence after something has happened. But that means you have to deal with the stress of having your stuff taken. And that's not too much fun is it?

However, over the last few years there has been a boom in high speed internet which has created the ability to be able to protect your home in ways that were unthinkable in the not so distant past. This has created some very useful security cameras called ip security cameras. And these things are ground breaking. The give you the ability to monitor your home from almost anywhere in the world.

These security cameras use the internet as a way to transmit the feed from the camera. So if you are on a business trip out of state all you have to do is pull up a certain web address to watch the camera to see what is going on back at home. But you're probably thinking what good does that do if I have to sit there and stare at my computer watching the camera like a low budget security guard. Well that's the beauty of the IP security camera I want to talk about today.

This camera is known as the Plug n Play IP Security camera. And it has a feature that is VERY handy. This security camera has a built in motion detector that will cause the camera to start recording if there is movement in the area of the camera. This means you can have the feed page pulled up in the background on the computer and if the camera detects motion it will alert you on your computer so you will know immediately if someone is in your house. That way you can check the camera and see if it is a risk and if it is you can make a quick call to your local police department and have them take care of it. On top of it showing you what is going on when it is set off it will also start recording to your hard drive so you will have a visual record of the situation. This is a HUGE advantage over other security cameras.

If you were using the old style security cameras while you were on that business trip you would of had no idea someone broke into your home until you got back. By then the burglar is long gone with your stuff. With the Plug N Play camera you have real time alerts to danger in your home and chances are it can be stopped by the police while it is going on.

Another great advantage to the Plug n Play IP Security camera is how easy it sets up. With most security cameras there is either a bunch of wiring you have to do or you have to set up all of the transmitters, the cameras, and the recording hardware. All of that can be very time consuming and a big pain. With this security camera all you have to do is plug in the power cord and then plug the network cable into your internet router and install the software onto your computer. And your done! Sounds simple right? Well it is.

Bottom line is, if you have been thinking about installing a security camera in your home this is hands down the best way to go. Being able to be alerted of someone in your house and see who that someone is in real time is a priceless advantage. It can save you thousands of dolor's in stolen items and a whole lot of hassle trying to set it up. So if you are security about keeping your home protected in the best way possible head on over to www.protection-direct.com to check out the Plug n Play Internet Security Camera.
