One of the most important improvements of the iPhone 5 is the processor. It is expected that the iPhone 5 will be running on Apple's new A5 CPU (a Cortex A9-based, multi-core chip) which will again significantly increase the speed of the device. According to engadget the CPU is said to be blazingly fast, cranking out 1080p video "like running water." There are also rumors indicating that the iPhone 5 will again have a totally new design as was the case with the iPhone 4 when it was introduced last summer.

So far there are not much other specifications of the new iPhone that are known. Insiders expect the iPhone 5 to be evolutionary not revolutionary, meaning that they are likely to build further on the older versions of the iPhone. Keeping that in mind we might see a slightly larger 3.7 inch touchscreen as we don't believe that Apple will immediately come with a 4.0 plus inch touchscreen for their new device. Apple might also improve the camera to an 8 megapixel one, however this is not really necessary as the 5 megapixel camera of the iPhone 4 has already proven to be better than many 8 or even 12 megapixel camera's of other smartphones. We do expect Apple to also introduce iOS 5 together with the iPhone 5 bringing al new kind of features to the Apple smartphones and also improve the usability of the phones.

At the moment Apple is working on the new and improved iPad 2 and there are rumours that this new tablet will be introduced next week. Macnotes has announced that Apple next week will have an event based around iOS 4.3.

The source of this announcement has told that the iPad 2 will have the Apple A5 dual core processor. The speakers will be bigger than the ones on the iPad 1 and the new iPad could have a mini display port.
