Apple's iPhone 5 is expected to change the game once again or at least get so far ahead of the pack that it won't be matched for at least another year or so. In fact, it was supposed to be released instead of the iPhone 4S, but was delayed for several reasons and is now expected to arrive sometime next summer or fall.

Fans have a lot of expectations for the iPhone 5, and by the looks of it, Apple will not disappoint. The iPhone 5 will have a lot of new features, which will make it the undisputed leader once again - not that it needs the help, since it's still the best selling smartphone on the market. The most important changes will be on the inside, with the handset featuring Apple's new A6 processor, most likely a quad core unit, which has been in the works for almost a year now according to sources on the inside.

The amount of RAM will also be increased to 768 MB or even 1024 MB, to keep the phone up with the times. It's also highly likely that the display will receive an upgrade in size - after all, the current 3.5 inch is getting a bit small compared to the competition. The resolution may also change, although 960x640 pixels is more than enough even on a 4 inch unit.

The other most important change in the iPhone 5 will be the addition of a 4G LTE radio - it's been a long time coming to the iPhone, but Apple held off because the first generation of chips were too power hungry - it turns out they were right, LTE does consume a lot of energy and depletes most smartphones' batteries in less than 6 hours, which is no good for a powerful all-around smartphone.

These changes, coupled with other minor improvements and a possible redesign, are sure to make the Apple iPhone 5 the leader once again, and if you want the most high end smartphone available, it may be a good idea to hold off your upgrade for a few months until it's announced.
