Info on how to get your 3G IPhone to send and receive picture text and other MMS Plus other info on the 100 new features from Apple. Features Include: peer to peer gaming, expanded landscape keyboard, shake to shuffle and many more. What complaints are addressed with these new features? What can we expect? How do we get these features? When can we get these features? We will answer all of these questions and take a look at the amazing new capabilities of the IPhone 3G.

The Inside Scoop

3G IPhone users have a multitude of advantages to choose from. These advantages range from the blazing speed of internet downloads and GPS to the wildly popular applications for games, books, shopping, music, and study. For the business savvy there are features such as the scientific calculator, email, stock application, and calendars. On the other hand, there are a few IPhone limitations that, in contrast, come standard on a majority of other phones.

One of the obvious complaints for the 3G user is the inability to send or receive picture text or any other MMS. What does Apple plan to do about it? On Tuesday March 17 Apple released its IPhone OS 3.0 Software Presentation. Apple will release 100 brand new features to the IPhone and among those features is the ability to send and receive MMS.

There are many exciting new features to be thrilled about and some that were long since due. The SVP of IPhone Software Scott Forstall admitted to being behind on the push notifications and remarked "Ya know we were late on this one." The response to the App store was so overwhelming it was described by Forstall as "...in volumes we hadn't considered." Those volumes were over 1000 apps and over 100 million app downloads. The SVP admitted to a complete overhaul of their server infrastructure, but with this delay 3G users will also receive numerous benefits.

How do I get these Features?

These features will come along with many other updates when you hook your phone up to your Itunes. It's as simple as that right? Not quite. You have to wait a little while developers are finishing their software.

Well then, when can I get these Features?

Apple will be releasing these updates this summer so keep an eye out for udates on your Itunes account.

IPhone owners still lack the basic function of video as an option, but with this amazing device it gets increasingly easy to forget. The IPhone has made so many breakthroughs in the cell phone industry that it is hard to understand why anyone would choose another phone. I have and always will thank God for my IPhone.

What's The Catch?

There are a few things that the Apple owners need to be aware of. 1st generation IPhone owners will not be able to use some of the options available to the 3G owners such as MMS and Stereo Bluetooth, but the rest of the features are fully functional. IPod Touch Owners are required to pay for this update, but the $9.95 price tag is a small price to pay for the update.
