iPhoneography

You don't need a lot of expensive equipment to take great photos. Although very limited, with some creativity and some cool apps, and anyone can create photos they are proud of. I've seen them; I'm not saying I'm an expert by any means. But I might be able to save you some time and money and help you create memorable images.

There are a number of groups out there for all levels of iPhoneographers (That's a word I never imagined using) and of course they are welcoming and helpful. As with all forums and online groups, be careful of scams, and look for boards that are active. Meaning: someone has posted on your topic of interest in the last week at least.

Online boards are great for technique and apps and tools, but I personally think it's experience and playing around with lenses witha LOT of images in order to develop an eye that ultimately distinguishes a consistently good photographer. I write that as the opposite of that type of person.
