IPL Delhi has been bought by GMR Holdings. The winning bid for the IPL Delhi team cost $84 million dollars for a period of 10 years.Virendra Sehwag will be in the running to lead IPL Delhi team. Sehwag who was not in the initial list of IPL icons may be granted this status after a demand from the GMR group.
Compared to other teams Delhi has not been strong in Cricket. But recent crop of young players has made it a formidable opponent. With the coming of top players from other cricket playing countries we can expect some good cricket from this prestigious team.
Who will be the other members of the team, what will be its composition, when will it play its matches, what will be the team name. All this will be decided in the course of the next few weeks.
