The Ipod Shuffle is the best Ipod for exercise. In this Ipod Shuffle review, I'll share with you what I like and what I don't like about this Ipod. I'll also share my 11 year old son's opinion of it in case you are looking for a gift for a preteen or teen.

Although the Ipod Shuffle (4th Generation) is great for exercising, that isn't the only situation it is good for. It also makes a great low cost Ipod , a starter Ipod for a preteen, or a way to make cleaning a little more pleasant. In any case, I don't think anyone would be disappointed in this product.

*If you try to use the clip while the Shuffle is turned on you will hit the skip ahead button. This can be solved by simply clipping before you turn on.

*Headphones are a little large, so I would suggest purchasing smaller earbuds if you have small ears.

The Ipod Shuffle Is The Best Ipod For Exercising!

Clip and go!

When exercising, most everyone wants some sort of music on to help pass the time, keep a rhythm going, and to make exercising more fun. When exercising at home it's fine to crank that radio or computer radio station up loud and get your workout in, but when mobile or at a gym that isn't possible. It is for these situations that an Ipod is ideal.

The Ipod shuffle is tiny! It's not much bigger than a quarter, and only a few quarters thick. It is also very light weight, which is absolutely ideal when exercising, and can be held in place by a clip attached to it. The clip was worrisome at first because I was afraid it wouldn't be strong enough and my new Ipod would slip off, fly through the air, and smash into a million pieces somewhere beyond the treadmill, but this hasn't happened yet and I don't believe it ever will. The bouncing and jumping done when exercising will not budge the clip. It really is well designed. I just clip my Shuffle on the pocket of my shirt or on the neckline if my shirt doesn't have a pocket and it is out of the way.

Exercising has never been this much fun before, and my workout playlist just keeps on growing. Don't you just love Itunes!

Ipod Shuffle Price Is Right On Point For Anyone On A Budget

Cost was a big factor for me when I was shopping for an Ipod or MP3 Player. I wanted to have something to listen to while I was exercising, but since we are on a tight budget I was limited on how much I could spend. One of the fancy shmancy Ipods with the touch screen and all the other bells and whistles was completely out of the question for me from the get go, so I didn't even consider them. I wanted to stay below $100 dollars and cheaper was better as long as I found something that fit my needs.

I looked at the other brands of MP3 players, and then I discovered the Ipod Shuffle and immediately decided that the price was right, the size couldn't be beat, and it was from a brand I could trust. Jackpot!

A Great Ipod For Preteens And Teens

My 11 year old loves his Ipod Shuffle

My 11 year old started asking for an Ipod not long after he turned 10, but I couldn't afford one with all the bells and whistles and I didn't even realize there were some good cheaper options at first. I started looking into them seriously not long before his 11th birthday when I was looking for one for myself. I got mine first and really loved it, and after making the mistake of trying an off brand MP3 player for my son (see above), we both ended up with the Ipod Shuffle 4th Generation.

My son has had his for almost 2 months and he loves it. He listens to it in his room, in the car, and anywhere else I will let him. After a couple frustrating shopping trips I forbid it in stores though. He keeps it in my purse when we are together and it is not in use, but he has a small camera case to keep it in when he is with someone else or feeling independent. (Which comes and goes because of the age.) The camera case is a perfect solution for both of us.

The only bad thing about the Ipod Shuffle is the included headphones because they are too big for small ears. Even I have a problem with this.

This is a great gift for a teen or preteen, and it will temporarily make you a cool parent. (Effects wear off, but they are nice for a while.)

Why Buy An Ipod Instead Of A Generic MP3 Player

My frustrating experience with a generic MP3 player!

After I bought my Ipod, I decided to purchase my son one. Instead of going with my gut and buying the same one I decided to save a few dollars and buy a generic MP3 Player.

I am not tech savvy for the most part, so I didn't know that you can only buy Itunes with an Ipod. (Silly me!) Sure you can purchase MP3 files from elsewhere, but I am here to tell you that purchasing from Itunes is easier and is more easily organized. I got so frustrated with the MP3 player I purchased, I returned it in less than an hour and bought my son an Ipod Shuffle 4th Generation like I have.

I urge you to not make the same mistake, it isn't worth the few dollars saved.
