March 2008 will mark the Iraq Museum's fifth anniversary of it's missing artifacts. The purpose of this site is to provide information relating to Iraqi Museum, its missing artifacts, and archeology in the news. The announcement of the reopening of the museum was made in November 2007, and one can view the Iraq Museum Online as a work in progress.

The National Museum of Iraq (Arabic,?????? ?????? ??????? ) is a museum located in Baghdad, Iraq. It contains priceless relics from Mesopotamian civilization, some of which were looted in 2003 during the Iraq War.

Lots of good stuff here... just almost too much but all that is here is good.

I was in Iraq for two years and I am familiar with looting incidents. Like as the troops rolled in, a lot of exotic animals were taken from the zoo in Baghdad by the locals, funny that they left the tigers and other vicous animals.
