Rebuild Afghanistan
After almost 30 years of war, oppression, and poverty, Afghanistan is just beginning to emerge and recover.

In the past couple of years, Afghanistan has seen many successes including national elections, a new constitution, a multi-ethnic security force, decreasing infant mortality rates, improved access to water, and major infrastructure developments.

Schools have been reopening and young people are coming back to the classroom. Nearly six million Afghan children are now enrolled in school, many for the first time in their lives. More than one-third of school children in Afghanistan are girls.

The U.S. has a leading role to play in rebuilding Afghanistan - the future of this country depends on critical support from the U.S.

Please join us in urging your Senators and Members of Congress to support more humanitarian aid and development programs to help rebuild Afghanistan.

Making a difference online has never been easier
War is brutal. So is rape. Thousands of women around the world are raped every day, their bodies battlegrounds in places of conflict.

But you can help. Take a stand against this violence by making a lens for the International Rescue Committee.

It takes 10 minutes and doesn't cost a dime.

How? Simply create an easy-to-build web page (what we call a "lens") about any subject at all -- your favorite books, a hobby, your business, your last vacation, whatever.

No matter what subject you choose, you'll be generating royalties for the International Rescue Committee, every month, forever. And your page will also help the International Rescue Committee raise awareness of sexual violence around the globe, spreading the word to thousands of new potential supporters.

Just click the big orange button to get started. Thanks for taking a stand to stop violence against women.

What's a Lens?

These are.
Lenses are just web pages about anything at all. And every one that you make will send royalties and web traffic back to International Rescue Committee.
