Why is it some women receive a lot of attention and others seem to get lost in history? I had never heard of this woman. Thank you for telling her story.

What an amazing woman, truly deserving of such a beautiful tribute. I had never heard her story before. I wish she had won the Peace Prize in her lifetime but what she accomplished in saving so many lives must have been a great reward in itself for her courage and self-sacrifice. Congratulations on your inclusion in the 2010 Giant Squid Showcase.

The fact that someone like Al Gore could be chosen over this brave woman demonstrates how unimportant and politicized the Nobel Peace Prize has become. Thank you for sharing her story and showcasing a true hero. Congratulations on being included in the 2010 Giant Squid Showcase.

To gaze on that face smiling in the introduction photo was akin to gazing at purity. To know what those eyes have seen, and yet remain so beautiful, is enough to make me cry. ...Congratulations on your purple star for this excellent work about Irena Sendler. Hear, hear.

I've heard and seen many things. (I'll just say I'm WELL over 30.) I knew and have read much of the holocaust. Although I'm not Jewish by descent, I find all such racist behavior to be barbaric. That being said, I wept as I read this story and watched the video. I felt as a new soul experiencing cruelty for the first time. And what a beautiful happy (you can tell from photos) woman to live in such a nightmarish time. I'm sure, that if heaven exists, she is there. God go with. . .
