    I enjoy listening to Irish music and often head off to Doolin in the west of Ireland, where some of the best fiddlers come to and play. So, if you ever visit the Emerald Isle, remember Doolin.

    I have always liked Irish music but hadn't had much opportunity to listen to it until recently. Thank you for all the history of fiddle music in Ireland. I loved the account you found by Girald Cambrensis in 1185. It sure hits home how little we can know of music from before the electronic age. Your fascinating lens reminds me that some day I hope to visit Ireland.

    Fiddle music is totally downplayed. After reading this lens, I think so even more. I knew it was beautiful, but didn't realize how versatile. Love the bit o' history. Thanks for all the lovely fiddle info and video clips.

    My grandfather made Violins, violas, and chellos by hand until just a few years ago. the music from these instuments is fantastic.

    Beautiful lens. My mother was born in Ireland and when I went over to meet all my relatives I found out that pub life in general and fiddle music in particular are almost a daily part of wonderful Irish living.

    Your lens introduced me to so much information about Irish fiddle music. Interesting to read that Handel's Messiah was first performed in Ireland! I also appreciated learning about Fiddlers Retreats. Best of all, thank you for the selections of fiddle music.
