What's your favorite Irish or Irish-American Film?
Every year on my blog, I celebrate St. Patrick's month with songs, jokes, stories and dancing. But this year I'm hosting an Irish Film Festival. You can be the jury and vote on your favorite films. Each day I'll have a new film posted. The first group is The Quiet Man, Rudy, Going My Way, Return to Me and Caddyshack. Vote for your favorite!
why are these irish films
sometimes people think I'm crazy
Return to Me in a story of a girl who works in her grandpa's Irish/Italian Restaurant. One of the great scenes is one of the old guys saying "Greatest Irish Singer" reply "That's Easy - Der Bingle"
Caddyshack is written by Brian Murray and stars Bill Murray, two of America's greatest Irish Catholics -- their sister is even a nun!
Chocolat -- the sexy Johnny Depp plays an Irish Tinker (Ireland's gypsies)
Two Sean Connery movies -- Darby O'Gill and the Little People was Sean's first movie and who could forget Jimmy Malone -- "What are you prepared to do?"

- I lived in West Cork Ireland for over 6 years and have a lot of Irish connections in my lens.
Check out Jeremy Iron's castle for instance: http://www.squidoo.com/jeremyirons
My favorite film is Waking Ned Divine but I couldn't find a link.
Cheers,

- I love your lens and it has nothing to do with the fact that I am 110% Irish. Thanks for the lens

Did You Hear About What Happened to Me?
But, I'm all better now (nearly) and wouldn't have made it without the fabulous Patty who was one of the hikers and just happened to be a nurse who previously was an E.M.T. and the rest of the wonderful people from the group.
