Greetings earthlings! My name is Roomba and I come from the planet iRobot.



Meet the homehelper robots, introduced by Roomba, the most popular of the iRobot home helpers.  Forget the Jetsons, for that was just a silly TV show. But did you ever wish you had a robot maid like the Jetsons did? That is why we were created, to make your life easier. Each of us is powered by a rechargeable battery, so you don't even have to feed us anything but electrical juice. Just empty out the dirt we pick up, plug in to power and we're all good to go for the next cleaning job. Maybe best of all...we all are made in USA products!

iRobot ROOMBA Sweeps and Vacuums

Roomba is the reason you can get rid of your noisy vacuum cleaner and never do that job again! Just turn me on and I'll roam all around sucking up every speck of dust and dirt. Your pets might freak out at first, but eventually they'll get used to me. Stick around the first few times I work in your house to prevent anxiety and attacks from animals and young children who are not used to having a robot in the house. I'm a precision tool and you will need to prepare your household for my presence. Pretty soon the kids and animals will be crazy about me. (See videos below.) They should be, since I'm cleaning up their messes.

iRobot SCOOBA Mops the Floors

After, Roomba the next home helper robot to be created was my twin sister named Scooba. She's such a copy-cat. She looks and works a lot like me since we both clean floors, but Scooba does that wet cleaning chores. I vacuum up the loose dirt, then Scooba wet washes your floors, picking up more bacteria than you ever knew existed. You might like having both of us around, since between us we can clean ANY floor in your house whether it is carpet or tile or wood.

Scooba happily cleans wood or tile floors and even dries them too! This irobot floor washing robot is a newer product available in the US since 2006. The newer units can run on plain water. Roomba and Scooba make a great team, since between the two of them they can clean any and all floors in your home.

While robotic lawnmowers have been available since around 2000, reports of their usefulness has been mixed. One negative is the required beacons or wires to be embedded under the turf to establish barriers. iRobot's new mower bot might do something similar, but the patent indicates GPS or some other form of wireless tether has been considered.
