Reusing glasses in your daily routine is one of the easiest ways to reduce the amount of water necessary each week. We all love the look of a green lawn and it's no surprise that water is needed for this to happen. Irrigation systems water at certain set times for a specific length of time. Unfortunately, a system for irrigation itself has no way of determining that your lawn is already wet from rain. Installing a rain sensor makes an irrigation system "smart" and prevents the unneeded waste of hundreds of gallons of water.

The visual condition of your lawn is not always the best indicator as to whether or not it is getting enough water. Unfortunately, over-watering can produce nearly the same results as under watering - yellowing grass. Assessing the moisture level of the soil at a depth of approximately three inches down gives a much better reading on the actual soil conditions. Following this observation, a better way to regulate more accurate watering sessions is to install a drip irrigation system or a garden irrigation system. This allows a varied, yet precise, watering.
