Some Unique Coach Uses

Hi! My name is Michele and this page is written for an assignment in RocketSquids, the lens-making university. This assignment was not an easy one for me. We are to pick one product on Amazon and write about it.

I thought about this for a few days, paying attention to what product I might feel impressed enough by to write about. I was out to lunch for Valentine's Day when I decided: my Coach tote bag. Now, you may think that is an odd choice but when I realized all the many ways I use this bag I knew that I wanted to share with you.

Classy With Bling

Of course I felt compelled to personalize my Coach tote right away! Although extremely classic in style and logo I added some bling to jazz it up a bit for daily use. Purse jewelry of silver and crystal hearts that I took off a Kathy Van Zeeland purse I own really added the look I wanted.

Then I started adding things over time. A key chain I got when I received my Doctorate in Theology. It is dated 2010 on one side with Psalm 25:4, "Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths." May we always be open to learn His ways.

A dragonfly my sister gave me for Christmas one year and a rose keychain that belonged to my mother who recently passed away complete one side of the bag. As years pass and distance separates somehow I carry a little bit of the family I love with me wherever I go. These are my touchstones.

Accessorizing The Other Side

On the left side of the bag I have the leather Coach hang tag, a serenity prayer keychain that was my mom's and last but certainly not least a picture of my dog, Benny, in a bone shaped picture holder. Very cute, don't you think!

Fashion blasphemy, you say! Why clutter up such an elegant tote with all this paraphernalia? Of course, first because I can, but actually it all started with simply the hearts because I am a heart lover. I believe everything in life is a heart issue and having hearts around me reminds me to keep my heart clear.

Little by little life shifted as I walked ahead Coach tote in hand. I was rescued by my little dog, I finished my Doctorate, my mom passed away. So many things and I just started putting momentos on the purse.

Did I tell you that this Coach tote was my graduation gift to myself? Turned out to be an excellent choice!

A Dog Carrier

Yes, if you have a small dog this bag is great for a dog tote. The lining is soft purple satin and the size is just right. A little blanket and you would be all set for a day on the town with your canine companion.

When Benny first came he surely could have fit nicely inside. But alas, so much love and great organic treats he has grown up to become a full sized boy. He is dismayed (as you can see by his picture) that he can no longer fit inside the bag.

Dog carrier aside for this household just look at some other uses I have discovered:

A Back Support

I mentioned being out to lunch when I decided to write about my Coach bag. As I waited for my waitress (I really was out to lunch at a deli not 'out to lunch' in the psychological sense) I unthinkingly slipped my purse behind my back for support. The deli chairs are not the best and I have found that my purse fits just right. Who needs a lumbar pillow when they have a Coach tote?

A Pillow

On that rare occassion that you have to be in a situation (at an airport, in a hospital with a sick friend or family member) for an extended time and would like to rest the tote comes to the rescue! It make a great pillow and fills that spot between neck and shoulder quite well.

Lunch Bag And More

I use this tote a lot when I go out to lunch to carry my large stainless water bottle. The side pocket is just right for herbal salt I like to carry and hand sanitizer. Fits in nicely. Take a look.

This bag is also great on trips to stash a small meal, snacks, CD's and whatever else you want to bring along. Why, this bag could even be used as an overnight bag it is so roomy!

Oh The Versatility!

My Coach bag is the proverbial workhorse of daily functionality! I carry all the purse essentials (all but the kitchen sink) and still have room for my Kindle, iPad, Bible, notebook and anything else that seems necessary for a given outing.

As I like organization, I did add a purse organizer which fit perfectly and still left plenty of room for all my things. It is really well made and looks great in the Coach. Here is a picture of the organizer. I added a link to Amazon below in case you would like to get one for your purse!

What a difference from the usual jumbled mess. No longer will you have to rummage around for keys, a pen, lipstick, whatever you need at the moment. Organize your purse and then move on to bigger things.

Here is a picture of the purse organizer inside my Coach. What a difference! There is a place for everything and more. Really fit perfectly.

The added advantage is that if you decide to use a different bay you just take out the organizer and put it in the next bag! Takes no time at all to switch bags. Not only is this time saving but you also keep everything with you and do not forget something in the transfer from bag to bag.

    I like a bag which let me organize my staff, with other words it must be design to accommodate different needs... is must have space, good compartments, but must look good as well.

    i love big bags and i stuff them full until the zips are broken. now, i am using thin leather bag which i can't stuff with lots of things, just the necessities. i tend to use one and the same bag for months. blessings for this bagful of idea lens.
