Is Gastric Bypass Surgery a Cop Out?

Recently I delved into the world of weight loss surgery. I am an overweight woman who has been struggling for most of my adult life with my weight. After trying (and failing) at one "diet" fad after another, I took to YouTube in October (2010) and set a goal to lose 104 pounds in one year.

And have been failing miserably at it.

My three key components for succeeding were/are:

Portion Control
Exercise
Water (at least half my body weight in oz. per day)

The one thing I didn't change?

My over all behavior and attitude toward lifestyle changes.

Hence the discussion with my doctor about considering Weight Loss Surgery - Gastric Bypass in particular.

I had no idea about WLS of any kind. So I spent three days researching and found out a WHOLE BIG LOT of things...wow.

The YouTube Videos below share a bit of what I learned and what my decision is regarding going forward with Gastric Bypass Surgery.

While I couldn't share EVERYTHING I learned, I do hope that by bringing this information to you, you may use it to do your own research before making a decision to so radically change your life.

Gastric Bypass Surgery is NOT a cop-out. Rather, it just may be the hardest thing you ever choose to do.
