Is Milk the Right Source for Your Calcium Needs?

I am a person with double 'preoccupations' about the need to provide the right quality and quantity of calcium daily.

I say double, because I have a son of four and a half years and I am a woman in pre-menopause stage of my life at forty two years.

Almost on a daily basis we are 'bombarded' with an enormous amount of contradictory information - so how do we 'guess' which are the right ones?

And is milk really healthy for your body and the right source for your calcium needs?

Is Milk Right For You?

The Effect of Milk on the Human Body

By reading, hearing and learning, we are making each day our choices and options which we think are right for each of us, which will take us where we want to be and are compatible with our lifestyle.

What is the most relevant in all that I say, I suppose, is what our body is telling us and what our life has taught us so far. That means each of us know better how we feel after having certain products, how comfortable or uncomfortable.

I am 'amazed' by the look on the peoples faces when I express that I do not need the 'three glasses of milk' daily, nor does my son to provide for us the right quantity of calcium that our bodies need.

First of all, I have blood type A which does not 'allow' me to have cow's milk or dairy products (see blood type). I prefer - for me and my son - a few almonds and some greens (broccoli, sprouts and spinach) daily.

Just because the milk is so aggressively advertised everywhere, does not mean that we have to believe 'blindly' in it.

As I said earlier, each of us will make our choices and 'build' our beliefs by learning and searching for information, but we also have as well the right to be different, to use our freedom of taking decisions, to behave with personality and not just going with the 'flock of sheep'.

The Menopause

Bones Stronger Without Milk

Talking about menopause, (which is the diminishing of the estrogens in the circulation), I am absolutely sure that drinking those three glasses of milk a day will not make my bones any stronger.

What for me - and certainly for many other women - would be better is to reduce at minimum or even taking away completely the meat from my meals, meat that is not anything else than an acid rain on my bones.

Why?

The animal protein will promote within the digestive process a reduction of pH in the blood, turning it very acidic. To neutralize it, the body will bring the calcium (which is an alkaline mineral) from the bones, or teeth. In this way, the calcium abandoning the bones will make these weaker and spongy. (Magna Vita, Dr.Estrela Neves)

The milk and dairy products are animal proteins which can bring a lot of 'damage' to our body (only blood type B people can go right with them).

Are the scientific studies true about the cause and the effect that takes place between consuming milk and its negative symptoms (sinusitis and respiratory tract infections)?

What would happen to the milk and dairy products industry if a lot of us became more aware of the negative effects of all their products on the human body?
