Is Squidoo For You?

Before coming to Squidoo, I explored numerous free websites. Yet none of them met my needs. They were all so limited in what they could do, or else they were difficult to use!
One day I remembered having seen a link to a friend's Squidoo lens in their email signature. I found the email and checked out her lens. Like me, she was trying to collect true stories for a book.

The more I discovered about Squidoo, the more I realized it really did meet my needs. There were so many different modules to choose from, and there was even a guestbook which visitors to my site could use to send me their stories. Plus, unlike any of the other free websites I'd looked at, Squidoo would pay me for making webpages! In very little time, I had my first Squidoo lens up and running!

If you decide you want to jazz up your lenses with some HTML - and most of us do - there is plenty of free information about how to do so available right here on Squidoo! And no, you don't have to read a huge complicated book to get started! Start small by learning and incorporating just a little html into your lenses at a time. Here are a few of my favorite Squidoo tips lenses to help you get started!

There is an active forum you can go to for help, to meet other Squids, to get the latest Squid news, to share a favorite lens, to ask for a lens critique, and more.

Most Squidoo lensmasters often take time out of their schedules to visit the lenses of others, giving them a "thumbs up" if they like the lens. Some even offer valuable suggestions and tips!

What's more, the community of Squidoo is like family. When one of us is experiencing a hardship, many others do what they can to help. Of course it isn't mandatory help. It comes from the heart.

I have made several good friends on Squidoo, and I'm most certainly not in the minority in that!

Making a Squidoo lens is a fabulous way to share information with others!
