Is the iPod Touch 4th generation worth the money?

The fourth generation iPod Touch provides its users with many improvements and upgrades with a price that is to die for. Initially the price set for the fourth generation iPod Touch was around $229, but now the price has been reduced to $199 leading to a $30 price drop, which has led to many review sites and critics to increase their ratings regarding this product. The fourth generation iPod Touch has come a long way, since the first iPod was launched back in 2007. Apple Inc has been able to revolutionize the way people listen to music. The iPod, today, however is much more than just a media player. It is a gaming console, a daily planner and assistant, a communication interface and a digital camera. With the launch of the latest iPod Touch on the 1st of September many new features and updates have been incorporated. Initially the iPod Touch was available in just black color, with a stainless steel back, but later on somewhere in the year 2011, the device was also made available to its customers in white color with a mirrored back. The mirrored back added sleekness to the device, not that it needed any of that, given the popularity iPods and iPhones had gained due to their overall look. There was however one drawback to the mirrored back, it was impossible to keep the back of the iPod clean for once.
Coming to the updates and up-gradations that had been made to the iPod Touch 4th generation, the most evident feature that had been added to the new iPod Touch was the front camera. Previously in all the iPods and iPhones, there was no front camera which made it impossible for users to use the video conferencing feature in applications like Skype and Viper. However, now with the incorporation of the frontal camera, users can enjoy face time video conferencing whenever and wherever they want to! Along with that, the rear camera allows high definition video making of up to 720p and its high definition retina allows crisp and bight video viewing and screen displays. The overall look of the phone still remains the same, due to the popularity of the design, but efforts have been made for the phone to appear slimmer and lighter than the previous models. Apart from that, in all the previous models, users were facing significant problems when it came to the battery time. Apple Inc has paid significant attention to upgrading the battery of the fourth generation iPod Touch. The company boasts that this newer model can play up to 40 hours of audio and up to 7 hours of video, which is a remarkable improvement to the poor battery conditions of the previous models.
With every update of the previous model, Apple Inc works hard to improve the operating software that runs all of its applications too. Similarly, in the fourth generation iPod Touch, the new software is the iOS5 which presents the users with applications like iMessaging, iCloud, notifications, reminders and game enhancements. With iCloud, users can now transfer and share, data, pictures and music from his or her iPod Touch to iPods, iPhones and iPads, wirelessly! iMessaging allows, users of iOS5 to communicate via text messages. This model has created an entirely new dimension to communication.
