Triond is an online publishing site where you are able to earn money due to the ads that are places on your articles.
Money is paid out on a monthly basis and the minimum payout is $0.50 via paypal.
If you're one of those people, then it is either because you broke the terms of service on Triond and believe you were conned out of money wrongly, or you have heard gossip on the web that Triond is a scam.
It is simply not true.
Sure, Trionds reputation has suffered a little in the past due to them allowing plagiarized articles through, aswell as other poor quality content. However they are trying to combat this problem, and although there is still a lot to do, it is better than it was a year ago.
In my opinion, Triond is one of the easiest places online to earn money, purely due to the variety of content the site accepts.

Is Triond a scam?
The simple answer to that is No..How do I know this?
I have been a contributor of Triond for almost 3 years now, and have never had a problem in terms of receiving payment from them.
Some people believe that Triond is not worth their time, or that it is a scam site.
That is not true.
If you have contributed and published on Triond, and have never been paid, then it is most likely to be due to one of a few reasons.
The first being that you have not filled in your account details, and/or have not read the minimum payout for the method of payment you have requested.
Triond currently pays in three different methods.
The first, and easiest being paypal..
As long as you reach $0.50 and have filled in your account details, including your name and address, you should be paid.
Triond also pay through Western Union and Cheque.. Both of these methods again require you to fill your account details in fully, including your name and address. However the minimum payouts for these two methods is $50.. A little harder to achieve. Especially if you are new to online publishing.
There may be other reasons as to why Triond has not paid you. This could include breaking Trionds terms and conditions.
A common mistake a lot of newbies make, is trying to generate false views, such as using link exchange sites, and traffic farms. Triond will pick up on this, and will withhold paying you. So it's best to read Trionds terms and conditions if you are in any doubt about anything.
Triond Closed Their Forum.
Triond closed their forum today, which had been a huge part of the Triond community for about 3 years. However, due to lack of moderation, it was crawling with spammers and trolls. This will impact the Triond community in a small way, but for those of you who are just joining Triond, you will still be able to find articles that will help you get started on Triond.

- No, It's not new. It has been around for approx 5 years now. If nothing else, it is a good way of getting traffic and backlinks to lenses here on Squidoo. :)

- Triond is exactly like Squidoo - users write articles and get paid according to the advertising - just like Squidoo. So I dont need to join Triond or any of the dozens of other online writing websites I have just discovered (webnuggetz, factoidz, quazen, webupon, bookstove, etc etc)
I'll just stick to Squidoo. I have been here for 11 months already. I have invested way too much of myself here. Not looking to move.

- I am slowly getting back into looking at new money making methods using the internet. Triond is not one that I had considered before. You did a great job of explaining the terms and pay methods. I will definitely be looking into becoming a member.

- I am not too active and have published a couple of articles and some 20 odd poetry from my college days! Have received two payments from them for a little over a dollar! The site has definitely improved on the duplicate content filters! Definitely a recommended site for avid writers and I second you on your views here. :)
