Is television bad for you?
You might be surprised to find out how much time you and your children spend in front of television each day.
Now, I don't think there's anything wrong with a bit of relaxation time in front of the TV, but I do worry about the messages my family gets from both the shows and the ads.
Also, is all that sitting around really good for anybody?

Using "Marbleous Behavior" to Limit Screen Time
I was concerned about how much time my kids seemed to want to spend lounging in front of the screen. I wanted them to learn that you have to work before you play. So I came up with the idea of "Marbleous Behavior".

Interesting Question About Babies and TV...
My friend has a 5 month old baby. She seemed "appalled" that I let my 9 month old watch Sesame Street and another show called "Its a Big Big World". She said she will never let her child watch TV at all. My daughter doesn't watch the whole programs, just the parts with Elmo (she absolutely loves Elmo) and when they sing on Big Big World. We do not let her watch any other TV (actually, she is not interested in anything else). She loves to read, listen to music, paint, we go to the park and play a lot all day long. My friend basically told me that my daughter is going to not grow up correctly...
