Who is Isabeli Fontana     Brazilian Fashion Model

The Elite Model agency has had incredible success in Brazil spotting new modelling talent. The agency runs a series of yearly contests, resulting in some amazing finds, such as Gisele Bundchen.

In 1996 a finalist in the São Paulo contest was Isabeli Fontana. Until then, Isabeli had led a quiet life with her mother, father, and two brothers in the provincial town of Curitiba. But at the age of 12, Isabeli became hooked on the idea of a career as a model, and began entering modelling competitions.

As a result of her success in the contest, Isabeli found herself, at the young of age of 14, moving to Milan with Elite to set out on her career.

In 1999, Victoria's Secret featured Isabeli in its much-talked-about catalog. Before then, the lingerie company had had a policy of only using over-21s, and the inclusion of Isabeli in the catalog caused a huge controversy.

The publicity only helped Isabeli's profile, and she received more assignments than ever. Soon her CV read like a who's who of fasion, with all the household names well represented. She also featured on the covers and inside spreads of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle (to name a few).

Isabeli now lives in New York with her husband (no 2!) and two kids. She's still very busy with top fashion shoots.
