Is She Interested In Me?

Don't think that just one or two of these indicates she likes you. There should be many.

1. You will find her looking or staring at you.
   
2. She maintains eye contact when you're talking to her.
   
3. She smiles at you a lot.
   
4. She comes into a room and looks around until she sees you and then stops looking around.
   
5. She asks you questions about you or your interests
   
6. She laughs at your jokes or funny stories
   
7. She takes time to listen to you
   
8. She laughs at your teasing and may tease back
   
9. Her body will face you or lean toward you, or she'll cross her legs toward you
   
10. She might touch your arm or leg while talking
    

And one more for good measure:
She calls or texts you.

Sometimes girls may seem aloof or shy, but if you're consistently getting a number of these, she is not interested. Move on.

9. She never asks you any questions, she doesn't call you, she doesn't text you
   
10. She hesitates or refuses to give out her phone number

What happens when you get into her personal space? Does she step or lean back? Does she seem uncomfortable?

If she is interested she will set set closer boundaries for you and not mind your closer-than-normal presence.

What is Personal Space
Personal space is the area around each of us that we consider private. If someone enters that space unwanted, it makes us feel uncomfortable. Example, if Tom enters Mary's personal space and Mary does not desire this, Mary will feel uncomfortable and have negative feelings toward Tom.

The distance of personal space varies: for some more relaxed individuals it might be 1 foot (30 cm) or for more private it could be 2 feet (61 cm). The average seems to be about 1.5 feet (46 cm).

What to About Personal Space

• Most important: learn about personal space and don't invade a girl's personal space until you start to see her showing some interest in you.
  
• Watch for signs that you've invaded her space. She will lean back or step back. She will suddenly seem more nervous or look around and avoid eye contact. The conversation will seem to falter.
  
• If you see these signs, back up and maintain your distance.

Actually, she's probably NOT sending mixed messages from a girl's perspective, but you're a guy and aren't reading them right.

Some girls want to be nice and not hurt anyone's feelings. She's not interested but doesn't want to tell you. So she politely smiles and listens to your story. You call or text and she reluctantly responds. You see some signs that she is interested, but you also see signs that she's not interested.
