St Maarten: a Caribbean Paradise
The beautiful island of St Maarten is one worthy of clichés. After all, haven't we all heard the usual descriptions of pristine white sands, the vibrant St Maarten Caribbean energy as well as diving, shopping and more are on offer all over this tiny multi-cultured area. But you will come to realize that a Caribbean destination such as this is cliché for a reason. It is constantly beautiful the whole year long, and that is where its popularity sustains itself.
But lest you find yourself confused with the whole St Maarten and St Martin mix-up, here's putting a stop to that. The island of St Maarten and St Martin is under one location, but is simply divided based on who's running them. The island of St Maarten is governed by the Dutch Netherlands while the while St. Martin is governed by the French. Both governments live in peaceful harmony with each other and it is quite easy for tourists to go back and forth both sides without a problem. So, go ahead, explore both St Maarten Caribbean and its neighboring St. Martin side as well.
The island of St Maarten in itself is a paradise waiting to be explored. It is famous for its 'no tanline' beaches where clothing is optional although there are plenty of other options for family vacationers as well. There are a variety of St Maarten beaches to choose from. Dawn Beach, Little Bay Beach, Simpson Bay, Mullet Bay and Maho Beach are just some of the areas to check out in the St Maarten Caribbean.
For underwater lovers, the St Maarten Caribbean is also a great place for discovering the wonders of the sea. Diving in St Maarten is an easy feat especially since there are over 55 beautiful diving spots to choose from and most of the diving operators also offer night diving and shark dives. The St Maarten Caribbean has even set up a beautiful artificial site where 'wrecks' are being sunk on purpose for more diving diversity.
Don't stop discovering St Maarten Caribbean just there though. Apart from its natural wonders, the island of St Maarten has also excellent man-made wonders, from their restaurants and bars which serve excellent Creole cooking as well as a large amalgam of international dishes to the affluent marinas and shopping centers that are duty-free and tax-free. Whether you try all of this simultaneously or one at a time is really up to you. So, happy shopping! Happy diving! Happy eating! or Happy Relaxing! Whatever the case may be, the island of St Maarten holds no bars to what it offers.
