- Bought this because I was gonna put on some muscle this summer, but the first 8 weeks so far have been far too busy and am just now getting off school, I still drank the muscle milk even though I did nothing physical during that period but sit and study, I LOST 2 POUNDS!! Even more amazing I am 19 years old weighing 160 roughly and eat a whopping 3500 average calories per day, a lot for my size, and still no weight gain, Ive found. Product for life!

- Hey there DonVito, Tom from Squidoo here - I wanted to drop you a few suggestions for your lens and congratulate you on being in the Top 100 lenses in this category!
I noticed you don't have an eBay module - you might want to offer things like drink mixer bottles or other products on your lens. What about some recipes? I know there are ways to make your own supplements like this as well as creative tactics for making these products taste better.
Either way, again, congrats and thanks for using Squidoo for your content!
Best,
Tom

- Donvito,
The issue with muscle milk is not the fat content, it's the level of unhealthy metals they contain. Lead and Cadmium in particular. These metals can found in most foods but there are a lot more in Muscle Milk and Both lead and cadmium poisoning may result after prolonged use. You wont wake up one day and out-of-the-blue feel sick, this is something that would gradually develop over a long period of time. It also contains a startling amount of arsenic. Some numbers: (this is 3 servings) 5.6 ug cadmium, the USP "Maximum tolerable daily intake" is 5 ug (12% above). 13.5 ug lead, USP max is 10 ug (35% above). 12.2 ug arsenic, USP max is 15 (81.3% the max). You may think, "I only take two servings, I'm fine," but (1) lead is still pretty much at the max with 2 servings instead of three, and (2) you absorb these heavy metals from other sources too!! Lead can be found in drinking water (even bottled water) and even in dust you inhale. Cadmium is found in pretty much everything (air, water, soil, ergo plants and animals) in industrial areas and in meat (in general) but highest concentrations in liver/kidney organs. While people have varying tolerances to these metals, it would be a good idea to minimize their exposure where and when possible. On a side note, the premixed ready-to-drink muscle milks have much healthier levels of these metals.

- Hi JaguarJulie, thank you for your comment! I suggest giving Muscle Milk Light a try. According to Muscle Milk’s official page: “Muscle Milk consists of a precise blend of multi-source proteins, functional fats, low-sugar carbohydrates and 20 vitamins and minerals in a lactose-free formula.” - As always consult with a doctor if you have any serious health concerns before using any protein supplement.
