The ISO Bo System Review
One of the latest pieces of at home exercise equipment to come onto the market this January ready to hit the traditional New Years rush is the The ISO Bow System. As we all emerge from our self inflicted binge of over eating and drinking we are looking hopefully around for a piece of exercise equipment that will help us lose that spare tyre and other jiggly bits that have magically appeared whilst we slept.
What Is The ISO Bo Fitness System
Burn Calories & Build Muscle
At first glance the ISO Bow looks a lot like the Bullworker which was popular in the 1960's. The Bullworker was a metal device which had two tubes - one inside the other with a pair of cables attached at each end. The main resistance was a spring holding the tubes apart. Now the Bullworker was mostly shunned and mocked by the fitness industry at the time but the reality was that it was a well made piece of kit (many people still use the original device they bought over 40 years ago!) that could be highly effective in building muscle and burning calories.
If you take a close look at the ISO Bow you'll see that although the design has been updated it basically does the same job as the old Bullworker. It uses what they call sliders which you push or pull and it has similar bands / cables as the Bullworker.

ISOKinetics, ISOTonics and ISODynamics
ISO Fever And The Big Secret
Sometimes I think fitness equipment designers think we're stupid. They assume that if they use fancy sounding words like ISOKinectics, ISOTonics and ISODynamics we'll be so impressed we'll hand over our hard earned cash because well with words like that it;s got to be good and work right? Wrong, big words count for nothing if the equipment is flawed and just looks and sounds good.
The main things are does the thing work? Will it help me build muscle and burn calories? Is it easy to use? Would I want to use it?
One of the main things I look at when evaluating a new piece of exercise equipment are the claims the manufacturer makes trying to get you to buy it. My acid test is if it sounds to good to be true it probably is to good to be true. So are the ISO Bo's claims outrageous and obviously downright lies?
If you check out the ISO Bo Sales Page the main claim is that by using the ISO Bo you can build muscle (lean or otherwise), and get the sexy, slim body of your dreams. Well so far so good after all you could do that using a pair of baked bean tins if you used them regularly and combined it with other exercise and a sensible diet!

Guaranteed Results In 20 Mins A Day?
I don't like to see the guaranteed results phrase because you need to specify exactly what you need to do and how often you need to do it before you can make any sort of guarantee but at least with the ISO Bow they are saying you'll need to exercise for 20 mins at a time and yes I'm sure that if you were to use this system for 20 mins a day three times a week and threw in some additional aerobic work and a sensible diet you could get good results providing you did it consistently and over a long time span (hint I'm taking months / years not weeks).
The ISO Bow - Good Points - Bad Points
As with all new pieces of exercise equipment it's difficult to say whether it's any good because it hasn't been tested by the market (you) and there are as yet not no customer reviews (although if you have one please add your comments to the module at the bottom of this lens). I'll disclose I don't have one as I live in the UK and I can't get hold of one :( so my review is based on what I see and my experience as a Personal Trainer)
The Good
The Unknown Points
The Bad Point
Don't be fooled by the 30 day try it at home for 30 days and only pay $14.95 postage. What they don't tell you is that you'll have to pay $14.95 to ship it back. So you'll have paid $30 for a 30 day trial. If you can't easily afford it I suggest you don't buy it. There are plenty of ways to get fit and lose weight that will cost you nothing!
The Good
- It is a strength / muscle building device
- The sales blurb comes out and says you'll need to use it 20 mins at a time
- Small and lightweight making it easy to store and move
- Comes with 2 DVD's, eating guide, quick reference book and some exercise bands
- At $99 + $14.95 S&H although not cheap it won't break the bank
The Unknown Points
- Although the sales video shows men using it I'd want to know that the resistance would be sufficient to challenge a man
- Until it's been used by real people the build quality and durability would have to be in question

The ISO Bo - Bottom Line
Will the ISO Bo on it's own get you that ripped / sexy look you desire? I believe it will help. At the end of the day no piece of exercise equipment no matter how good is going to help you if you don't have the discipline to use it on a regular basis. If you're looking for a miracle please don't waste your money. On the other hand like the Bullworker the ISO Bo can help you build muscle, lose fat and make your workouts more interesting so if you're looking for a less gimmicky piece of exercise equipment that will help you reach your fitness goals the why not take a look at The ISO Bo Workout System it may be just what you need to kick start your new year fitness resolution and help you in your health and fitness goals.
